Will the halfshaft issue be fixed?

If the failure is due the the extreme angles, extending the lower control arms can reduce those angles. It will be interesting to know in degrees the articulation of the failure prone S/X joints.

Anybody know the cost of replacing the half-shafts when it is out of warranty?

1880 with the labor this is the latest since my MX had shutter and tattering sound and they quoted me 1880 which I didn’t pay because the problem started 6 months ago and I kept taking the car to service and they kept saying everything is ok until the warranty expired . I have been beyond furious with Tesla service. They either mask the issue or don’t address it until constant

Are you referring to AWD models S/X? my 2012 RWD S has no such shudder/shaft problems - so I'm assuming this is an AWD issue?

I believe so. We had a 2013 Model S60 have had no problems. The "new" 2017 100D had shudder on front only.

Doesn't seem to have changed. Some do have it, some don't and I think the ones that don't, will. My first S didn't but my second does. Both are 2022's. Nothing has changed with the 2023s. Tesla may have some new half shafts that some have recently had replaced but too early to tell if they are truly a fix.

I’m concerned to, hopefully they will fix this ongoing issue with the S & X models. I’ve read some people are going aftermarket to fix the problem by putting in adjustable arms.
