    Hi everyone,

Looking to get my Model S windows tinted. Can anyone recommend a really good place in the East Bay area? Preferably someone whose done Model S's before?

Depends what kind of tint you want. For photosync, most people go to Premier. If you don't mind the extra drive, I used Appearance Solutions in Sacramento and they did a great job.

I kinda want the dark, but want the same affect that photosync gives.

Vincent is a solo tint artist, did a great job on my last 3 cars. He also did a full hood clear bra on my Tesla. I highly recommend him. FYI, cash or check, no credit cards.

I noticed that the windows go down about a quarter of an inch when getting in and out of the car. Any concerns with this in regards to tinting? Does this need to be disabled or something?

The tint installers are aware of this. Has not been an issue.

This is a very useful thread. I used it during my initial query about window tint and was then turned to Photosynch due to the unbiased positive reviews from other Tesla owners. It's a bit long, but worth the read to educate yourself about the differences of tinting. I've had Huper on my other ICEd cars, and Photosynch is better imho
