Hope you're right! Before being reserved for the referral contest, they were apparently offered on the shop.teslamotors.com site for $7600 with tires. But now they are scarcer. And maybe someone will like the idea of riding around on the same wheels as Elon Musk. So with luck I'll fetch some good coin.

How do you know that Elon Musk has them on his Tesla? I don't recall ever seeing that. If he does, wonder which color he went with.

I read it somewhere...maybe in Tesla's description of the prizes for the referral contest that ended July 15th? If anyone else can shed light on this, either way, please do.

I doubt it... While some people want them badly, the overall demand doesn't seem to be there. I think there are just as many people want them as people selling them.

Sold my first set from the referral program for 5k and that was low IMO so if someone just won them for 4k, congrats sir you just got a GREAT DEAL!!
