Not sure if there’s a preferred solution for conditioning the interior ebony trim but I actually found using Taylor guitars satin finish cleaner first followed by their fretboard conditioner does a really nice job. Leaves a much richer deeper color with no oily residue. It actually seems to be absorbed deeply into the wood. The difference is dramatic.
