Wrong Way Warnings

Wrong way traffic crash deaths are common place here in the Tampa Bay area.

Since Tesla accurately reads speed limit signs, it should be straight forward to read wrong way and related signs. When such a sign is sensed, the car could take several actions. It could sound and flash internal alarms to alert the driver. It could also flash headlights to alert oncoming cars or pedestrians. It could also reduce speed, etc.

Tesla could benefit from free marketing by announcing such a feature.

I sent this to the Tampa Service Center manager as well. Your support may well save lives

I think you have a very good idea there. I think Tesla has been hesitant to put too much reliance on camera recognition, since speed signs are still giving it trouble. The good news with wrong way signs is the impact of a false positive could be minimal - assuming they just beep and indicate something on the IP. Slowing the car down and honking, while no doubt great steps, may be less likely, as that could cause issues if it does falsely identify a wrong way sign.
