Mine broke and I need a proof of purchase in order to get the warranty coverage to replace it. Receipt must be within dated the last 12 months.

Ok sure.
However it IS legitimately still under warranty I just don't have the receipt anymore. So...
If you bought it through the Tesla website, your receipt should be on file.

This should be entertaining. Tesla tracks the serial numbers of the wall chargers. They know who and when a part was sold to.
Let us know how it goes when you give them a receipt with purchase info that doesn't match what is in their database.
