X Half Shaft problem

A great deal has been written about the half shaft problem. I just got mine replaced for the second time. My question is:

Is this just an irritating noise/shudder problem that you can choose to ignore, or is it a safety issue requiring urgent attention.

Thanks in advance,

Greg

I have a 20 X performance

Went through first set of front half shafts in the first 10k miles. They were replaced with the part numbers listed in the service bulletin, which supposedly are better. Tesla wont do the work unless they are rattling pretty bad.

long term: When the shafts go into the drive housing there is seal, bushing, bearing they pass through before engaging the spline. Vibration in the shaft will wear or prematurely damage them. Im hoping that would be under a front drive unit warranty because thats where Im probably heading. With a whopping 18k miles. Love the car, design, concept... However, at times I feel it was poorly executed.

Yeah first post. I read more than type and listen more than talk.
