2 Tesla stores within 3 miles of each other here in North Jersey. Both their showrooms were empty yesterday.

This is a quarterly pattern that has been going on with Tesla's inventory listings for years. If you look back, you can find "great purge" threads going back to 2016, maybe even 2015, where the inventory "disappears" all of a sudden. It will reappear in the coming weeks.

To confirm my statement above, last week I drove by a lot where Tesla stores cars before delivery. While it wasn't nearly as full as I've seen earlier in the year, there were easily over 200 cars there.

Interesting. It looks like Tesla is still selling every car they can produce. Maybe that’s why we haven’t seen any Q3 incentives yet.

That’s very low...one Model 3 per state. But it’s likely that Tesla is producing cars for international sales right now. When that switches back to US cars we should see a big bump in inventory.

At the end of Q1 they were offering discounts on inventory cars or free paint and/or wheel upgrades. But they had a lot of extra inventory back then.

They have 1 for sale in Denmark, 9 yesterday and 15-25 vehicles for the last few days.

Tesla produced 87K cars across all models in Q2 and sold 95K cars. I don’t know how big is their usual inventory but it is definitely 8K cars less than usual.
