Cybertruck spotted driving around Portola Valley, looked smaller than I expected

I just saw the funky camouflaged Cybertruck driving on Alpine Road in Portola Valley. That's one city over from Tesla's Palo Alto HQ. Here is a quick video below from my Model Y's cameras so it's not super high quality. I was most shocked that is seemed a lot smaller than I expected in person. Looks...

I towed a 4x8' U Haul trailer from Kansas to Washington state in my model Y

Just got home from a cross country trip from Salina, KS to Vancouver, WA (1755 mi). We towed a small U-Haul (4x8') trailer with my model Y. It was fairly easy to hook up the trailer. I had Tesla install the trailer hitch after I bought the car. The Tesla service guy in Vancouver told me the sel...

FSD Beta (11.3.6) with no cell coverage on mountain roads

I spent two days at Gila Hot Springs, NM. I drove from Silver City but I took the long way through Mimbres to avoid some of the really twisty parts of the road. On a previous trip FSD worked like a champ on the really twisty parts but I was not comfortable trusting it with my life.

There was no ...

Just completed 10 day Road Trip with 2023 Model Y RWD - Mixed feelings

Greetings!

My model Y RWD (EDIT - it's AWD) was delivered at the end of April, and now has 4K miles on it, half of them in the last 10 days as the result of a road trip from NC to FL and back. My wife and I had taken a similar road trip in January, driving her 2021 BMW 330e, a plug in hybrid inste...

New Model 3 RWD 1000 mile update from previous Model 3 owner

Greetings. I haven't been around in a while since I sold my 2018 dual motor. Somewhat unexpectedly, I bought a base RWD last week. In no particular order, here's a quick 1000 mile update.

Delivery at Tesla center: no exaggeration, I was in there for 2 minutes, maybe less. Walked in to the check...

With the recent news of Ford, GM, Rivian - and presumably others - moving to adopt Tesla's NACS plug and therefore be able to use the SuperCharger network (that is presumably v3 SuperChargers) starting circa 2024/2025, what's your best guess as to what impacts, if any, this will have on Tesla driver...

Rear Screen for Legacy S/X Project

I am trying to make one of those aftermarket rear screens available for 3/Y work in legacy S/X cars. I want one of these so that rear passengers can control AC as well as car music when needed.

I am gonna try my hand by getting the cheapest screen available so that in case all of this fails, the fi...

Car Camping Build (Detailed, Picture Heavy) | Model S

Really wanted to pick up the Dream Case, but didn't want to shell out over $1K for it so decided to try to build my own. There were a few helpful threads of other's builds, but none quite what I personally wanted so I kind of tackled the project to the best of my ability myself. Obviously, I am not ...

Cross Country Frank Lloyd Wright World Heritage Sites by 3LR

UNESCO chose eight Frank Lloyd Wright sites for World Heritage status, and I visited them all this year by EV. An exhaustive tour of Wright’s designs could visit 100 sites, but the Heritage 8 are sufficient for me. My cross country trip went from Hollywood, to Arizona, Wisconsin, Chicago, Pennsylvan...
