FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Reminds me of driving on Hwy 85 near Phoenix a few years ago :)

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

There's an 'avoid/use HOV lanes' option in the navigation settings. Did you set that to 'avoid'? BTW: I usually have the opposite problem, car likes to exit the HOV lane 10 miles before an upcoming exit navigation plans to take. Though possible map data is outdated, this is going north on I-5...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

My experience as well - there are certain roads where it will always have the wrong speed limit (like 25 on a 40mph road), until it reads a speed sign, other roads it seems to depend on how you entered the road (e.g. driving straight, or taking a left or right turn on it, experience mainly with...

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

I don't see any major problems with trying to do the calibration during factory production. However, working on a consumer product that could benefit from this, it's probably just too complex/expensive in terms of equipment, time, and process. Though indeed it is possible that it also...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Last thing that happens frequently is wrong speed limit (shown a upper right of current speed). Maybe autospeed is implemented to somehow mitigate that... I have that switched off btw. Usual scenario is that you take a right or left turn, and the speed limit stays the same whether it is higher...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

In California (at least) there is a minimum yellow time dictated by the speed limit. This was a way to get red light tickets tossed out (if the particular traffic light didn't adhere to the minimum).

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Indeed exactly my experience on MM Blvd. As well, it's driving in the middle lane around 35-40 mph, left lane is free, and it doesn't move into the left lane to speed up.

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I wondered why I didn't see anyone reporting this - this happens a lot for me, and it is rather unsafe with cars behind you. It even happens when making a left turn, instead of going deliberately in the turn lane, it drives in the middle in between the straight and turn lane way too long, and I...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Good point, didn't think of that. So that would likely require some kind of fallback to v11, which it already does when on freeways. Transition while driving on city streets might be a bit tricky I guess. On the other hand, we can already change over by changing the driver profile, which...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Just got this, and few observations on the first drive - as multiple posts above, speed control is worse than v11. It's way too chilled in the middle setting, sometimes drives way below the set speed even without any other traffic or other reasons to do that (I disabled auto speed after a few...

    FSD Beta v11.x

I'm guessing (even though it is safer to do) it would be a traffic violation to drive on the shoulder. It definitely is in California. You'll have to wait for a large enough gap in the traffic. I do recall driving in NJ and indeed it can be a pain to merge onto such a road with continuous...

Tax credit 2023 [The tax credit discussion thread]

Turbo tax PC app shows 'Available to e-file 02/21/2024' Slightly annoyed to need to wait another couple of weeks for a $7.5K refund.

    FSD Beta v11.x

Just to point to the inconsistency - a few versions ago FSD slowed down the car down way too late and had to brake hard for a right-turn from a 50 mph (3 lanes each way) road into a residential road close to my home. It wasn't unsafe but not something any driver would do normally. After a few...
