    Interaction of PG&E NEM-2 and EV2-A

Billing\crediting is done in money not kwh so avoiding usage during peak is important.

I replaced 4 of them with wafer lights in a little under an hour. Abandoned the old cans in the attic and wafer lights fit in the old hole perfectly.

Buyout is usually the sum of expected future payments discounted by lesser of 5% or the prime rate.

Looks like exporting rate is high during peak for all of september and close to retail in aug. If nem 3 customer eligible for VPP might be almost $5\ kwh total compensation during flex alert. https://willdan.app.box.com/v/2022CPUCAvoidedCosts/file/1015321747620

    CPUC NEM 3.0 discussion

Until new rates are made for everyone which will have a fixed rate component and a lower volumetric rate the E-ELEC rate will be used for new solar customers. The E-ELEC rate should become effective in December for non-solar customers and everyone next year. Basically EV2 with $15 monthly fee...

Should be going up to .23 or so on march 1.

    CPUC NEM 3.0 discussion

The E-Elec rate potentially seems very similar to EV2, slightly lower but with a $15 fee, initially seems like it would have been $25 but cpuc prefers fixed fee. E-ELEC Rate Component Price Monthly Fixed Charge $15 Summer Peak (4 pm – 9 pm) $0.43340/kWh Summer Part-Peak (3 – 4pm, 9 pm – 12 am)...

New Tesla orders - More panels / same inverter

1.26 ratio will have very little clipping, if not all in same direction likely no clipping at all. Mine is at 1.36 all south and I lose maybe 1-2% per year and intend to bump that up to ~1.5 eventually to help during non summer afternoons.

    CPUC solar decision?

A new rate with "highly differentiated time-of-use rates" is supposed to be created as part of this, the current EV2-A plan is listed as also acceptable. If I optimistically assume the new rate plan will remain at about $0.18 like ev2-a assuming it can be self consumed or stored in batteries 1...

My install price increased because Tesla changed from 8.16 to 8.5kW

IIRC some people got a free upgrade when they switched from 315w to 340w and I think the contract says they could give you up to 10% more if they substitue equipment, have you tried calling to complain about price increase to see if they might give you the new panels at the old price?

    Modification question

Tesla inverters seem to have a max 1.4 ratio so it could be worth asking for 10.88 vs 10.2 if the 2nd inverter would be helpful to your layout.

Selling home with owned PWs and rented solar

If I was buying I would at minimum want a $2500 + transfer fee as a credit from you to take over the rental and I would imagine many would assume it similar to a long term lease and be turned off so its likely best to at least the free removal one taken off if not both. It would be interesting...

Tesla app usage doesn't match SCE bill

The difference seems to be aprox the amount of night time usage, is your ev charger monitored by teslas cts?

Using a Credit Card or Paypal to pay for Tesla Solar

I have charged 20x my limit before in a month on numerous accounts and received full points with the exception of citi double cash which gives 1% of the rewards on payment as long as its equal less than the balance so you would get 1% vs the 2% on that card.
