Head on Crash on Lake shore drive in Chicago

Saw a very brief story on the news about a deadly head in crash on Lake Shore Drive on Sunday. In the video b role, one of the cars appeared to be a Model 3 that was involved. Curious if anyone had heard any details. I googled and found nothing. Cheers.

Stalk or no stalk argument [not] settled

Got no problem with the shifter on the dash (basically). Reminds me of my old man's Corvair with push button gear shift on the dash. Turn signal will take some adjustments. Certainly not a game changer for me.

    NEW Model 3 Highland review!

Less parts to manufacture and install. Not a bad thing.

Rear fog light review / install tips

Agreed. We used to call them "driving lights." Both my old Subaru and Audi had them and on my motorcycles, I have installed signals that are also brake and driving lights. Personally, the more lights the better.

Model 3 Feature Requests for Refreshed model 3

"Spy photos" have been around for decades. When there were maybe three reputable car enthusiast publications, they were fun to see in all their grainy Sasquatch glory. I still enjoy seeing them... and then moving on. Unfortunately, the WWW is ripe for this silliness. (I really like the new front...

Discussion: Experiences Renting a Tesla Model 3 / Y from various companies

I've rented a Tesla from Hertz multiple times... it is essentially the same: no phone functionality, etc. As for a manual, they do send you links that cover the basics prior to picking up the car... more than what they offer for other ICE cars. Five minutes perusing the user interface and you...

    My 1964 Corvair Monza EV

I grew up in the back of my parents Covair. Multiple cross country trips. It purred. I know the engine was right behind me. One of the best looking cars ever. My old man absolutely loved it but with a growing family he settle for and International Harvester TravelAll. OG SUV!

Model Y 2023: What is your solution for Roof Rack and Roof Cargo Box?

You old farts, remember those "turtle boxes" back in the day. I had one on a 1st gen Honda Accord?😂. Back in the day I had a box (before tule and Yakima) made by the folks who made Butterfly sailboats which were competition of Sunfish and Sailfish. It was basically two hulls attached with a...

Sub Par Service Experience @ Tesla Renton (Seattle)

I know I'm preaching to the choir here but is not a good time to get a vehicle worked on. Any vehicle. Took my neighbor 11 weeks to get her Subaru hood repaired/replaced. A hood. That said, your experience was unacceptable.

What is public perception of owning a Tesla after Musk's tweet?

I think Elon's antics are extremely polarizing where I live and work (NorthShore, Chicagoland). Many of the folks I interact with socially are educated, liberal and affluent. And I know a number who did not renew their Tesla leases because of Elon. I would love to own a Tesla someday but I may...
