Im on the fence about the trip estimator. Given that it doesnt know about elevation, was that the reason you needed to slow down to 30mph?
I used EAP most of the way to Las Vegas but sometimes it has that bug where it would start changing lanes then switch right back.
If it was just myself, I wouldnt either. But I had 4 in the car, fully loaded luggage and P3D+, my first time driving between superchargers.
I felt like I was driving a Prius.
I think chill mode makes the car lose it personality more than EAP :) Im not sure if Id buy the car if chill mode was how it accelerates. Id keep my Volt.
One thing I noticed is that EAP brakes more erratically than cruise control. Cruise control accelerates and brakes much more evenly. EAP...
Aside from financials, the prediction of a $35K SR car in Feb, means even more cars on the road, so will fights at limited supercharging stations and long lines. Ive already seen those happening, younger roudy crowds who simply dont care.
Nearly every stop I was at was filled with Model 3s...
I have not calculated but on my trip most of the charging was done when I'm around 70-80mi left on the battery. I was very conservative and only charged up to 290.
I don't know how I'd survive in a T-X with any wheel size since the consumption would be greater.
I just drove from SJ, CA to Pasadena, CA then to Las Vegas and paid a total of $98.48 for all the charging, in a P3D+, 4 people, luggage.
I have to say, even with the inefficiency of the 20" wheels, I'm still better off than driving an ICE car.
I ad ths problem. So I decided to try repairing my phone to the car and for music. Turns out my phone wasnt working the BT very well after Apple’s update. I powered cycled my phone and repaired the car. So far so good.
It actually doesnt bother me that the badge isnt on my car. Looks cleaner.
Theres crowds that want to chrome delete, aluminum wheel delete, badge delete..
The more I look at it the better that the P3D+ has no badge or that spoiler.
You got the right idea and looks good. The white is too white to use black rims. A bit of visible wheel detail is needed to balance the look. If not silver, bronze works to give that detail with a white car.
I find the oem choices for rims to be awful. I saw a showroom red X with 20” silver turbines, looks so good, Such a shame they didn’t offer it.
I would have opted for 19” on my P3D+ if they had it. I never bought a 60K car, so why not get top line, went with the 20”. Everytime I look at my car I...
Its been cold lately and while the car is plugged in, the vampire drained my battery from 279 to 258mi. I thought that okits plugged in, will recharge later. It never did.
Do I need to physically unplug and replug to top off?
Really? Most Tesla owners I see drive their Teslas just as slow if not as bad as any other car.
I always wonder those who buy powerful cars that drive slow.
I wish there was a screen protector that was glossy, glare free, keeps resolution and fingerprint free, like the Sony a7r ii’s from Sony. Its the best I ever used. In the M3 Im using the OEM.
Sorry but I really think the aeros are bugly.
I'm old school and always loved the shiny chrome wheels on a car and despise brake dust covering them.
Used to wash them so clean so even the insides were shiny.
I dont know what fashion or car started the black wheel craze.
kbeck's black wheels...
You're talking about the OP? ok.
Anyway my 8th digit is a B. But for a performance dual motor it should be a 4.
So perhaps it used to be binned when they first manufactured it and now its not longer.
Software update may change the performance of the motors but part of the $11k may be the...
I'm looking again and again...got the performance upgrade, 20" tires..
Big gap. Are the P3D+ really lowered?
My company has a bunch of P3D's with 19" wheels. While they do have larger gap, it seems the gap is still there with 20".
Maybe you missed my earlier post saying it is a good deal. But if you are getting really spotty service or no service at all, I wouldn't. I already contribute that to Verizon and Comcast.
When the AP asks for you to put pressure on the wheel, are there any alternatives?
I hope this can be dialed down in terms of frequency. It defeats the purpose.
I read you can acknowledge AP using the dials on the steering wheel. Any others?
While I own a P3D+, I am too interested in the battery drain on a road trip with 4.
Im not really sure looking at the supercharger map if the battery can last while loaded.
Im a motorcycle rider and recently got a P3D. Im starting to notice that M3 or Tesla drivers need to start watching out like motorcycle riders. Now you know what motorcycle riders see...I have to laugh at that.
I've noticed a creaking noise while wiping down the car today. The rear bumper cover portion that wraps around the passenger side has a creaking noise as I pressed on it. I wonder if this is contributing to the noise.
