I would really like some clarity about this. Thought you could get assigned after hours? Maybe you can, but only if you’re ITM compared to the closing price? So 195 calls are ok now, even if we go above after hours…?

Deze week call van 16/12 195 al doorgerold naar 20/01 210. Net call geschreven voor volgende week vrijdag op 205. Vandaag sluiten op 195 zou mooi zijn.

We're only a few dollars down by the job numbers news, so not to sure 195 will hold. Will decide today wether I'll roll back & down 01/20 210 CC a bit or sell an extra CC for next week should we rise above 195 (looking for 210 strike 12/09 CC in that case).

So that was quite a flat day in the end :) Hoping we see some reaction to the event tomorrow (on the upside obviously).

I already rolled 195 strike for 12/16 to 210 01/20. Should we go down further I will obviously roll it back and down again.

I'm in the same boat. It 's definitely possible we close below 200, but the same goes for the opposite. That's just to risky for me to keep a contract running if you don't want to lose the shares at that strike.

Well thanks to PCE my 12/16 195 CC will be rolled today. When reaching my strike I roll 10 higher at current SP. Will have to go to next year (1/06) to reach that for a slight credit. Can always roll back lower should we go down again, but I don't think we will considering macro circumstances...

It's not that easy: going 20% OTM may be okay friday to friday looking at the past, but what will you do when your contract is ITM on wednesday? Will you let it run and hope the SP going down again? It's not like you can sit back and relax, even selling 20% OTM. Excersisement is still possible...

Does anyone know when options post jan/25 will be available? Is there a predefined schedule?

Look at it this way: I'd rather roll my CC's up and out knowing my stock goes up again, than the opposite.

Yes, but you're right. Even if you're selling below your avg cost base (like I'm doing right now), you shouldn't only look at premiums when you're rolling a contract. A strike improvement will cut your losses should you get excercised as well.

Capital gains only matter when you're selling at or above your avg cost base. I don't know if that's the case for @OrthoSurg.

I had 185 CC for friday and just didn't feel comfortable with the Model 3 news and current SP action. I rolled this to 12/16 195 CC (one week roll for credit was limited to a 5 dollar strike improvement) for .50 premium. Will add another CC for next week should we "moon" somewhere this week.

Kept 185 CC for next week even though premarket had me figuring several rolling scenarios. Todays action made me decide to better hold and let some time value go out of the contract for a better roll if needed.

Just when you decide to sell CC, because you think nothing can move the stock now, we have South-Korea news and Citi upgrading Tesla from sell to neutral... Guarantees nothing, but definitely positive news.

My strategy is to roll break/even at least. That’s why 10 or 15 higher will need a 2 or 3 weeks roll out. Basically you close the old contract red and open a new one for the same premium In that case. that’s how my broker works.

If it hits 185 you‘ll not lose your shares right away. Just keep an eye on the extrinsic value. if SP reaches 185, I’m not taking risks and I’m rolling two or three weeks out until strike 200. To not lose weekly premium, I would then sell a new (extra) contract for the next week at 200 or...

Not advice obviously, but 180 in 1.5 trading days seems out of the question in current circumstances, but market can be strange. Why not go for next weeks 185 CC with 10 contracts for same premium? That gives you more options to manage with extra contracts should that be needed.

Sold 185 CC for 12/2 for 1.80. As we’re in a short week with only 1.5 trading days left, premiums for next week are rapidly falling.

Could 500/3 so 166.66 be another level we won't break? Really hope we won't go under that...

Some positive news driving the SP premarket now, but we'll have to see what today brings. Planning on selling a CC for next week and selling one extra next week should the first one need management.

Yes, not quite in the same situation as you, but thinking about going to next weeks expiry as well. We do have an event on 12/1, but I'm not sure this will move the stock price in the way we want it to at this moment.

Took a few hours yesterday, but closed 205CC like many others. BTC for .4 or 80% gain. My expectation is this contract would’ve expired worthless, but if you can lock in 80% and get your freedom to take a new position for next week, should we bounce today, you can’t take the risk waiting for friday.
