Either. Anything that involves voice recognition once we are moving. It works when parked on wifi and the streaming and navigation themselves work on lte. Just the voice part fails 95% of the time. It started in like November.

Actually one issue i have with FSD Beta is that it seems to make my voice commands virtually never work. Is this just me? It used to be a cool demo for people new to Tesla- but now it's frankly embarrassing.

The release notes for 11.4 give me hope since the majority of my interventions and disengagements are thing like darting into a 100% bus only lane or moving into the far right lane to "follow route" with a left turn coming. Besides that it's some level of training myself that it will make the...

Funny you say that, but in many ways fancy analog watches are like ICE with constantly shrinking market and mind share. Eventually used only by hobbyists who don't mind the additional cost and maintenance. My dad has a big collection of stupidly priced watches but I don't think he's bought a...

The falcon wing doors are by far the #1 reason my parents want to replace their X with an S. The doors open to inconsistent heights (they almost never open fully) and are therefore constantly causing bumped heads. They like higher ride, higher seats, bigger cargo space, but hate the "flashy...

If we were back above 300, I'd do it. I hope this indicates a more robust wireless charging area on cybertruck and future cars. The wireless charger in my (2020) Y doesn't work even with a super slim case - only naked.

One possibility is that the front axle has a stronger lever arm on controlling against jacknife than having more discreet control over a rear axle? I am not a tractor-trailer dynamacist.

Since you asked, I'd rather the windshield replacement be a bit more expensive and have a loaner - for the "make me want to upgrade" factor and since my insurance is paying for the windshield (minus $100) anyway.
  11. D

Does Tesla always provide a loaner when car is in for warranty work?

I was told today that they don't do loaners or rideshare credits anymore. *note this is non-warranty work that they need the car for "all day"

I just scheduled my first service visit in a while (new windshield - again.... CO winters are rough on glass). Apparently not only do they not do loaners anymore but also don't do ride-share credits.... Not thrilled about this as a consumer. I'm not sure how to feel as an investor - it's...

New Service & Sales Center: Superior, CO

I just scheduled a windshield replacement in the app, and Superior is now allowed even without asking. I don't think they have the showroom going yet. Apparently no loaners nor even ride share credits anymore?

I don't think they are. It doesn't matter though - Tesla knows which to put on boats/trains

No, Tesla's slide said 250A, not W. (250Ax12V = 3000W) Changing voltage does not directly change Wattage, it does change current (Amperes). The bus voltage change from 12 to 48V reduces the current by 3/4 to 63A for the same power (and consequently thinner( lighter, cheaper) wires for the same...

Fremont was not a clean sheet Tesla designed factory. It's also burdened by producing the more complicated S and X. Berlin and Austin are still ramping. I see 0 reasons that are cultural in these differences.

Are these from different sources? 24.55 is definitely not "almost 10 times higher than" 1. If it's the same source, another eyeroll for media "researchers" Edit: thanks for the new data

Unless they meant the hose thickness (much lower temperature delta and pressure requirements than an ICE radiator). Agreed it's not a 1.5mm diameter.

Well that was fairly anticlimactic... I guess the employees there get to check out some cybertruck prototypes. Tesla is a big part of California economy (largest mfg by 2x). Glad to be there taking over from the founder of Silicon Valley, HP. Etc.

My underderstanding of TSLL is that the downside (even if TSLA is up every day) is that it doesn't account for what happens overnight. You don't get the overnight gap-ups. Extreme example: If TSLA were up 1 % every night and down .5% every day, TSLA longs are up .5% every 24 hours, while TSLL...

I, for one, am hoping that superchargers in Alaska (and along at least 1 of the 2 routes from the lower 48 to Alaska) become a thing by the summer after receiving my Cybertruck ('24? '25?). Driving the ALCAN and Dalton highways is something my wife and I have talked about for years - but you...

Agreed. There will be a version at 78995 (79995 with white seats) my guess is this is trimotor with 500 mi battery. The quad motor rolls in at 99995 for the plaid types and gets 475 mi. The 350 mile dual motor comes in at 54995. The single motor, 275 mi comes in at 44995 (but doesn't show up...

Not to pick nits here, but your "double the gain to compensate a loss" literally only applies at exactly 50% loss. If a stock drops 90%, it needs a 10x (900%) gain to get back to where it was, while a 10% loss only needs 11.1% gains to recover. Such is the world of % and yes, many are often...

Model Y Performance 21" Tires - Larger, More Comfortable Fitment Details and Experience - Michelin AS4's (With Photos)

I've driven in about 4 inches of wet-ish snow and it completely fills the wheel well just like it did with smaller tires. If any thing theres just less space for it to fill, and when you turn or hit a bump it gets knocked off and makes a weird noise like it always does.

And neither can I. When it's really blizzarding no one should be driving. In this case however all it shows is that they haven't done any training to work on this situation. The problem is far more about changes in traction than obscured vision.

Quick report: Currently 17 degrees and 4 inches of snow on the ground. Car does not increase follow distance, reduce speed, or otherwise acknowledge the weather. It's actually even worse since it can't decide where the lanes are and turns abruptly. It also seems to want to avoid the parts of...

Y was configured at the time you "ordered" - not a deposit. CT is a deposit s o being handled differently. Aa to your first question - a year ago I was planning on a Tri/quad/plaid but instead I'm considering (read: worried I'll need) a job that pays better than reading this thread.

I'm 5 weeks and some distance with the AS4s in 265/40 and 295/40. Still no rubbing. I think it's quieter than the pirelli p0s, in addition to having a way better ride, curb protection, appearance, and safety when it's not 90 degrees and sunny. They also let me save my snow tires for ski season...
