Plaid Owners PSA: Ifhate the Yoke/Turn Signals/Horn, please complain to the NHTSA

Sorry, and this may just be me also being a jet pilot, but I love the new control yoke. There was an adjustment period, but it was quick and candidly I find the yoke and elimination of stalks a far superior alternative to the wheel before. The visibility alone was a huge improvement.

    New Tesla Vision Autopark!

I haven't had any luck getting Autopark to work on my Plaid S. Did it require a certain amount of driving before it became available? (I recall in the early days on earlier S models the system needed some calibration time.)

    Plaid owners - Autopark

+1, I was a bit disappointed to not see this feature being available at launch. My prior vehicles all had it on the platform from delivery (except for the first..)

Whoa, 2nd and 3rd row fold flat now?!

Well, if you need people in the 3rd row, the ingress and egress I imagine are easier if the 2nd row moves with the monopost design (not to mention legroom.) Wish they would publish specifics.

Whoa, 2nd and 3rd row fold flat now?!

That was my question. If they found a way to fold the seats down and keep the telescopic seat mount that moves for ingress and egress that would be a win.,

Suggestions on Pilot Super Sport sources for new Model S?

My refreshed Model S has Pilot Super Sport tires -- they're great, except they aren't available it seems anywhere, including from Tesla. I'm being told by Tesla service at some locations that they aren't even in the parts catalog, even though they were the OEM equipment. I'm being told by...

    Summon Connection Issues?

The app occasionally gets into a bad state on the device. Just quit the app and force it to completely restart. That does the trick for me.

    Suspension Problem on Model S

    No. Some do, some don't.

    Suspension Problem on Model S

Not all Tesla's have a necessity for tire rotation. Some of us have different sized wheels. :-)

[Resolved] Beyond Frustrated How do I contact a Regional Manager

So let me first start off by saying A) this isn't an excuse for the experience you are having, and B) I appreciate/understand your frustration. So we have a very early Sig X (one of the few delivered in 2015) and while we have had teething pains from new production, the SC manager and team have...

    Model X Headrest Adjustment

Thanks -- what I discovered in evaluating different parameters and adjustments in the vehicle, is that (I presume?) since we setup our profiles on an earlier version, the headrest positions were set at "full retract." Unfortunately, getting out of this state is a bit of an exercise in...

    Model X Headrest Adjustment

The online manual for Model X states the headrests adjust automatically. Our passenger seat headrest has indeed adjusted by itself once, but not again So it is now adjusted up quite a bit. Has anyone figured out how it should stow again? Moving the seat seems to have no effect anymore.

    Wiki Model X FAQ (wiki)

Just made some updates to the Wiki, to cover: - Charge port door opening shortcut (different than Model S) - Middle seat does in fact move. I also clarified and updated some language I had put in before when I said it had limited travel, this was bogus info I had received. (And to be candid...

    Wiki Model X FAQ (wiki)

My apologies if this happened -- that wasn't my intent. Suggestion: If this can happen, it seems we need to post that we need a mutex on the wiki and then do a notification afterwards. - - - Updated - - - Yes. My S charges happily at 80 and the X at 72.

Bonnie's Xcellent Adventure w/X Sig 2 - Config, Delivery, Roadtrip

My garage has tons of obstacles: overhead garage door track, shelving interrupting the arc at the bottom, and at the top. It detects them both perfectly. Happy to take a video or two and measure. My only hesitance is that the garage is not always going to be in the garage at the precise...

    Matt_D's Model X Delivery Thread

Got it, sorry about that. Short answer: there's no button in the UI. It may be possible to touch the doors on the screen to open, but my other half is driving it right now so I'd prefer to test once we're all at home later. :-) Will also share a screenshot as well.

Vin 0062x pickup in Tampa 12/23 at 6pm

Our Sig X charges at 72A as well via the HPWC. On our S it charges at the full 80. Yes, the UI still does show the 80 "max" but under no circumstances does it presently exceed 72A.

I'll upload some more, no problem, and post the link here. - - - Updated - - - My DS specifically said nothing about this, and we were opening and closing the doors like crazy during our delivery walkthrough. (Tesla was very patient with us both as we start playing with the doors on our car...

Which X owners FB page are you referring to? (And is it private -- do I need to ask to join?) - - - Updated - - - I'm with Bonnie on this one, but just sent a note to confirm. I'm not clear on how they would interact with one another. The planes of motion interact and there's spacing...

Happily! What would be of interest that you'd like to see focused on? - - - Updated - - - Things I noticed immediately: - Build quality is significantly better than my early Model S. Not surprising, but a big difference. - The interior feels much more upscale. The seats are the most...

Vin 0062x pickup in Tampa 12/23 at 6pm

Actually, the door design is quite smart. Opens enough for a narrow parking space (cool) but "holds" the door at whatever place you leave it. So you can fine tune a bit getting out of the car, but unlike other cars, you don't really have to hold it. (Most cars have one or two detents for the...

    Matt_D's Model X Delivery Thread

I just saw posts in Bonnie's delivery thread referring to Model X colors while we were at the delivery center today, taking delivery of our awesome Signature Model X. All this talk of color makes me think that I should mention how beautiful/partial I am to the Signature Red, the White, followed...

USB-C connector for premium front console - no plans to release

So I too have a Nexus 6P and received the same response from the Tesla Store -- after waiting 18 months for my Model S console. The "no plans" seems myopic given a whole industry is moving down the path. As an aside to those implying Apple will never adopt it -- they already did on the low end...

Update: Model X has a single charger, but only 48A capable

Couldn't agree more. I doubt there is much confusion in most HPWC owners about the chargers after installing a 100 amp circuit. :-) Will wait for official confirmation, but sounds disappointing and an example of false economy. I don't want my X to be the next Volt hogging the EV stall due to...

Update: Model X has a single charger, but only 48A capable

+1 That said, I suggest we await something official before continuing further. I think all the hypotheticals are out on the table now-- I share disappointment --if-- and I repeat again --if-- it is true and no remedy is available in the future.

    Correct. Still available though.
  39. M

Update: Model X has a single charger, but only 48A capable

I will invest in a CHAdeMO adapter (and in fact have one for my S) -- that's not the point. CHAdeMO isn't going to appear in your home or at a destination. Create bottlenecks in charging isn't a solution for the future. I work in an environment with a lot of EVs. So perhaps I'm a little...

Update: Model X has a single charger, but only 48A capable

I would agree. I would also offer up something to think about: the lack of high speed charging (if this is true, and again, we need Tesla to confirm directly one way or the other) will pose a problem for the overall utility vehicle in the future. As EVs (including Tesla vehicles, in this...

Bonnie's Xcellent Adventure w/X Sig 2 - Config, Delivery, Roadtrip

The description was apparently lacking any "founders" badging, but I wasn't there and no one captured a VIN that I know to confirm. I will happily be the optimist though and assume it wasn't a Founder's!

    Press Conference July 17

To second Bonnie here, and to set some context -- I'm one of those people with a drive unit replacement. First and foremost, this issue seems to come up (and has) for more than year on these forums. As the old adage says, "there's nothing to see here, move on." Look, I'm an early adopter...
