Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Once robotic cars are on the road at scale, insurance companies will drive human drivers off the road immediately.

All of those acronyms that Knightshade likes to chuck around are all things that can be implemented, no problem. The ODD can be limited for level 4. I would say that the OEDR is probably better than Waymo, and that the DDT fallback is a concept that is a relic of heuristics, and can be...

Also Tesla has elaborated the sustainability aspect of Robotaxis several times and with the huge reduction in passenger vehicles overall (Privately used poorly utilised) along with the requirements for car parking, this will result in the urban footprint in US cities being transformed.

The NC500 is too remote for superchargers. It is quite well equipped for Chargeplace Scotland chargers. When in the highlands, I have been able to charge overnight wherever I have been staying and never had range anxiety even on the Islands. Never really had cause to use Fort William SC. I...

Payload has very little effect in range, towing tho'. There are multiple strategies to provide electrical charging to a advancing force, many of which are less vulnerable than a horde of petrol tankers.

I use UN regulations crippled autopilot for about 70-80 of my driving. In town in traffic, disengage at junctions. Great for stop and go in town. All long A roads with 60 mph limits (single lane each way). Have to watch some of the tighter bends though, speed control is not good. On the...

Replaced a 10 year old Renault Grand Scenic diesel MPV with a M3P off the first boat to the UK in 2019. Transformed my life ! Still grinning from ear to ear. (already had Tesla shares since the first landing of Falcon 9 blew my mind)

Two different pricing models with differences between markets. Just like UBER. Urban would require aggressive pricing differences to keep congestion down (therefore may be tax based). Long distance commute in southern California has always seen good use of pooled Tesla use, so that is another...

Localised pickup/drop off location data bases may be the magic sauce for a ride share aquisition by Tesla ? Nah. I would think this information could be provided to the training model using retrospective/prospective data from the fleet pretty quickly, especially as many Teslas are already...

The main psychological support for my HODL strategy is this thread, thank you guys. But this is helped along by the real time sales in the world's most mature EV market. https://elbilstatistikk.no/ No the competition is still not coming, but who earth is buying those BZ4Xs ?

My experience is that they will bundle in the routine stuff like the trunk harness with a regular service request. They were coming out to do the air filter, so just added that. I Had other wiring tidies done when I had the steering rods done under warranty, that was at the service centre.

First new air filter on my 2019 M3P ordered on app in January, fitted by mobile Ranger (Model Y with back seats down/out in Van mode). Performed trunk harness retrofit that was clearly a programmed recall (free). 50 quid for air filter, delivery and fitting including tax. Did not have to get...

I agree, that the potential for this as a money maker as level 2/3 is huge if they go down in price and keep the high prices for the full autonomy roll out. I would pay for the ADAS for my old Dad no problem. Tesla have defo been slowing the uptake deliberately, but once they decide the...

No money ? Seems to be plenty flowing in all the wrong directions esp. to fossil fuel companies. Most of the current govt are either ex fossil fuel staff and/or have extensive financial links with them. Don't give me the no money rubbish.

Mine is a 2019 with 88,000 miles on the clock. <8% battery degradation. Still drives like a dream. Love it. Defo check the control arms have been done and the condition of the sills right behind the wheels especially if mud flaps not fitted.

    Cybertruck is a scam.

It should wallow like a truck ? Steer like a truck ? Don't think so. Most trades don't need any more range than this, but the toughness, utility and comfort of the CT will be v attractive. In Europe trades mainly use vans rather than trucks for real practicality and security of moving stuff...
