I doubt it is an increase in performance. I purchased the boost right when I picked up the car in September 2020 at which time it was 4.4s down to 3.9s. Now when I look on my car it says 3.7s.

You should check your purchases on the App or Website.. I doubt Tesla would give it away for free :)

It definitely is super odd and pretty much makes Tesla’s inventory useless. Not sure why they even list unavailable cars unless they are used to drum up sales like a “lost leader”. I thought they would be required to list them as “in transit” or something.

I am sure you could install yourself but according to the Tesla's website, they specifically highlight that the Homelink installation must be done by a Tesla Service Technician. Not sure if installing it yourself would have any impact to warranty. Check out this thread about others installing...
