Just got a call from Tesla that I missed this years delivery. With a September 11 order date. Bunch of wankers. Now with Q1 US builds starting in the second half of the quarter probably looking Late February or March. Very close to cancelling and just going ICE again. I need a vehicle and am...
Great, my account just went from Dec18-31 to Dec 26-31. If they hit that it will be 16 weeks on a car advertised with 2-3 week lead time. Really starting to piss me off. If it were an ICE I would switch to something different. This will eventually catch up with Tesla.
I am in the same boat on the other coast in Florida, I don't think its all location related. I do think however that you guys closer to the factory have a higher chance of getting one in the last week. I ordered 9-11 and still don't have a VIN. According to Tesla they can have a car anywhere in...
Interesting, my entry in the spreadsheet disappeared. Been there since 9-11 and now its gone. Not that I had any news to add, still don't have a VIN. Enter it again?
MYP, MSM, White, TOW, Auto
I finally got an ETA range as well. December 09-31. One would think that since it is already the 8th and I am in Florida that the 9th is highly unlikely. Tesla is a strange animal.
MYP, MSM, White, Tow, Ordered September 11, Southwest Florida
That date is bogus. It slips by one week every week. I have gotten a date every week I called and it changed by one week every time when I called a week later for an update.
There are now two 79xxx Vins for MYPs with Tow posted in the spreadsheet. One on the 29th and one on the 30th of November. Maybe things are looking up.
OEM tires are like OEM printer cartridges that come with your printer. While they may have the same name and appearance they may not be the exact same SKU.
Let me know how that works for you. Everything I heard is that the price shown pre-delivery is only good until you take delivery then it is whatever the current price is. If it is 12k next month it will go up until you purchase.
I prefer the factory one. Tow mode integration, potential warranty questions if something happens while towing, better fit and finish with bumper......
Just call any of the sales locations in your area. I think it's press 3 for sales, phone number is in Google maps. They can at least check for you. They also always pick up.
Something ain't right there. What does your delivery location tell you when you phone them? Based on the spreadsheet all the AWD LRs from that order time are delivered. Are you sure you are not missing something on the finance/registration or insurance side?
Let me guess, MYP with Tow Hitch? I ordered 9-11 and also have not gotten a VIN. When I ordered the online lead time for my configuration showed 2-3 weeks, The order confirmation text showed 6-10 and now based on the text it shows another 2-4 weeks. If Tesla at least would let their customers...
3 shift at 8 hours gives you 24 hour coverage. The 24/7 you read about is the construction of the Texas plant. The Freemont location should be running 24/7 since it opened for efficiency purposes. It's a waste of resources to have a plant sitting idle while demand is high.
Same text as well. I guess they are prepping to make our cars. Best batch yet!
Funny how the text doesn't tell us anything we didn't know before. 2-4 weeks but could be faster or take longer. Basically tomorrow to infinity. Same as before.
Interesting, there has not been a MYP with tow hitch VIN assignment for about ~27000 VINs now. I have one on order since 9-11 and there have been MYP Vins assigned in my configuration but only without the hitch.I was hoping very much that the tires were the only MYP delay.
The MYP with the 21s will not reach 3.5 seconds. in my opinion this is false advertising. Tesla needs to either fix that number or increase the performance. Very disappointed to learn how Tesla does business. A lot of over promise and under delivery, not something to be proud of.
I ordered on 9-11 when delivery for my choices showed 2-3 weeks. My order pages has shown 6-10 weeks right after I ordered. The text I got from Tesla stated 2-4 weeks.
Seems a bit messed up.
Which of the three is normally the most likely?
