I’ve never understood why in a Model S (and presumably the X) the driver display (not the main screen) remains on ALL NIGHT even in camp mode. It wastes electricity and shines unwanted light through the cabin. I cover mine with a towel, but it’s likely an easy fix for them.

I have a 2021 PRE-refresh Model S and the CCS adapter fits and successfully charges.

I can confirm the CCS adapter works on a 2021 PRE-refresh Model S. I received mine on Thursday and tested it on Friday.

I sent them a message and they shipped it the next day. Ordered on 5/12, shipped on 5/22, due to arrive on 5/26.

I have a 2021 pre-refresh Model S, but I am not sure what MCU version I have. The part# is 1451809-S0-H if that helps. However, seeing (now) that this is a Model 3 specific forum, I dont know how much help this is.

As an update - replacing the MCU appears to have fully resolved my issue. I haven't had this error pop-up since I received my car back on Tuesday.

Has there been any official word on if this is coming to pre-refresh Model S/X?

An update - after working with Tesla Support via the app, I have an appt and the SC on Friday to have my MCU (which includes the 17' Screen), USB Hub, and Wireless Charger replaced. Given an MCU replacement has been the resolution for others, I am hopeful this will also fix things for me.

I have 2021.36.5.8 and I’m not on FSD beta (I don’t have FSD at all).

I tried this and it didnt work for me - I was on 2021.32.10. I updated to 2021.32.20 last night and the problem persists. I have a 2021 pre-refresh Model S.

My model S is having this issue ever since 2021.24.4 too. It intermittently starts and stops working while driving after working flawlessly since i bought it. I’ve tried formatting the drive as well as a different drive - same problem. Hopefully they can fix this.

I dont know about the refresh 2021 S, but my 2021 non-refresh S does not have Dragstrip or Cheetah mode. Chill and Regular (or whatever it is called) are the only options.

My 2021 has the same issue. I got it back from service yesterday and the tech said Tesla is still trying to figure this out and should issue a bulletin once it’s fixed. He said it was not a safety issue.
