Just got my VIN, after 8.5 months of waiting. EDD narrowed to October 20-26. It's a VIN with an "MF" in it, and the MVPA specifies that it's a 2021 model year (which is fine with me).

It was so long ago that I placed the order, I just have no recollection. I don’t have an S.A. anymore (I did briefly, but he moved to another role at Tesla and they never gave me a new one)…

That's where I test drove in fall of 2020, so I've just assumed that's where I'd be picking up. But now that I think about it, I guess I don't know for sure where they'll make delivery (or if it'll be a home delivery or what). I guess we'll see...

Congrats! Really excited for you! I don't have a lot of faith in these estimates, given all that's gone on in the last 8 months, but it's good to hear that someone nearby with the same config is finally seeing some movement.

Does anyone know whether a VIN is assigned only once a car is fully manufactured, or at some prior pre-production step? I'm a mid-January 2021 Plaid/Blue/White/CF/19"/FSD order, and my anticipated delivery has slipped many times, of course. Now my EDD is October 5-25. I don't have a VIN yet...

And now my EDD moved up 11 days to 10/5 to 10/25. Seems to be going back and forth.

After holding steady for a little over a week, my EDD has now moved back 11 days to 10/16 - 11/5.

Overnight, my EDD moved up by 11 days to October 05 - October 25. Pre-refresh January 2021 order, Plaid/Blue/White/CF/19"/FSD.

That's truly unreal. I have the same config on a January 2021 order, and just got an EDD for October-November.

Each time I've gotten new guidance on when my car is going to get delivered, I've gotten past the disappointment and settled in for the longer wait. This morning my estimated delivery went to July. This is the first time I've had an estimated delivery other than about 6 weeks ago when I had a "June" delivery date for about 24 hours. MS Plaid Blue/White/CF; 19"; FSD Order Date: 1/21/21 (pre-refresh) Hope it holds!

If you're referring to the current iteration of the Plaid (and not what is now called Plaid Plus), then my recollection is that the order page went live right after the refresh was announced on the earnings call on Jan 27. Others will correct me if i'm wrong...

I've not used them, so can't speak with first-hand experience, but Chicago Auto Pros does that work and has a very popular YouTube channel and very strong online reviews. You might want to check them out.

I'm following the same pattern. I think our orders were placed around the same time. I've convinced myself that I've gone blank again in preparation for an imminent VIN assignment.
