New Tesla Store Location Coming to West Chester, PA - 2022

Is this open yet? I hope it will reduce the service wait times, 3 weeks is a long time to wait for some issues.

Unexpected 100% volume since last update?

I've had it happen several times in both mine M3 and the one I rented before I purchased mine, I almost exclusively stream from my phone, so I assumed it was a phone related issue. But it's been a thing with Teslas before this update.

heated rear seats... now includes steering wheel Refresh 2021 NCA SR+

Yes, apparently they dropped the price to $200 for pre-2021 years, and for 2021 SR+ it's $300 and now includes a heated steering wheel. Just purchased it myself, was really missing a heated wheel as we get into the winter, it took like 5 minutes after I bought it to show up in the app, so happy...

ANyone else with a 2021 get passenger lumbar?

I think it was 2021s built after May or June 2021. My 21 SR+ built in May has passenger lumbar, but maybe they kept lumbar for non SR+?

    Parking Overnight - Battery Use

For me on a SR+ with sentry enabled, I've noticed ~1/2% loss per hour, for example, I saw about a 12% loss in a 20 hour period. And with Sentry off, you'll barely notice any loss, and with cabin overheat protection on and in the summer, you'll notice significantly more. As for leaving it plugged...

Thinking of placing the order...wanted expert insight.

It's my understanding that the 3 & Y are almost identical up to the glass in the doors, it's lifted an inch and a lot taller. I would've preferred the Y, but since my goal was cheap, and since they phased out the SR Y, the 3 just made more sense. My only gripe with the 3 is how low it is, but it...

First 2 weeks and 1000 miles - my thoughts!

For Auto Pilot, it's funny I actually had the opposite experience, I started using it all the time, figuring if I'm in stop and go traffic every day, it would save me headaches, but I stopped using it when I noticed a slow down but the car didn't until it was close and locked up all 4 brakes to...

Not "warming up" & regen dots

Going into my first winter with the Tesla, and I'm wondering if this is normal or if I have some issue with my M3. The past week the lows have been 45-50, though I park in a garage, I have scheduled departure setup and I'm not plugged in. I drive my commute, 20 miles, which today took 30...

What cars have you owned before your Model 3?

I've been all over the map. I wish I could say I bought all these cars because they were logical, but... Licensed in 2004, had these in order, some 2 at once: 2001 Ford Taurus SES 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS 2010 Mazda CX-7 2014 Ford Mustang GT Base 2010 Ford F150 STX 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid...

New rear tires after 4k miles

Well, it's hopefully taken care of. I did some sleuthing, figured out who the Service Manager was on LinkedIn, based on their email naming pattern, guessed his email, and copied my sales guy about my frustration and disappointment with the location and the brand, within 30 minutes the service...

New rear tires after 4k miles

It's technically new, as it was never titled. It's still sold by Tesla, is still has a warranty, it's definitely not "as-is". As for the safety, Tesla doesn't do inspections in PA because they'd have to be capable of doing emissions testing, and they don't have the equipment to do it, so any...

New rear tires after 4k miles

Here is the alignment they provided, seems pretty out of sorts.

New rear tires after 4k miles

It was a demo, and the tires were supposedly fine when it was there 2 months prior
  17. T

New rear tires after 4k miles

I heard the tires squealing a lot and noticed the floatyness and terrible rain performance, I eventually made a video for the service center, but the closest appt was 2.5 weeks away. So after a week, I happened to check the tires and noticed how badly they were worn on the insides, so I attached...

New rear tires after 4k miles

He called me at 5:30 and had 1 foot out the door, but said he'd send it to me tomorrow. I opted to not pay them and pick it up today, I will be calling back tomorrow to discuss further.

New rear tires after 4k miles

Finally got my M3 in after a 2.5 week wait for an issue I was having with excessive tire squealing, poor rain performance and a bit of floatiness staying in a lane. The rear tires were gone, 0/16 on the inside, 3/16 on the outside. They did an alignment, replaced the 2 tires and told me I owe...

    Squealing from rear end

So Tesla Service is saying that they'll fix the alignment for free, but "we don't cover tires" and are expecting me to pay $650 after only driving the car for 2700 miles. Is there anyone higher up I can contact because this is ridiculous? Can you actually call a service center and speak to a...

    Squealing from rear end

In case anyone was curious, definitely an alignment issue, don't know why I didn't check the tires before, but finally did yesterday... Don't think I'll be driving it until my appointment.
  22. T

    Squealing from rear end

I won't be paying anything, it's 2.5 months old, they better fix it

New owner and some things that I do not like

It all comes down to the dealers you deal with. I've generally had good experiences from Ford dealers, but sub-par from Dodge/Jeep/Ram ones. Every new car I've purchased has had some minor issues I've had to straighten out when purchased, but have generally been fine after those initial issues...

    Squealing from rear end

OK, thanks for the replies, makes me feel a bit better, hopefully it's just a quick alignment and back on the road. If only I didn't have to wait 2.5 weeks for the appointment

New Model 3 - Rattling / Noise Issues

Only interior noise I have is sometimes if I open a window at speed, and close it, I get some kind of wind noise from the trim I guess. But other than that, I have no interior issues, just some drivetrain issue.
  26. T

    Squealing from rear end

So, I've had my M3 for about 2.5 months, and for a while I thought the tires just sucked, but I don't think it's the tires. I've been noticing noises from the rear end, there is a squealing sound when I'm turning (and not tire squeal from going to fast). I hear it when the regen braking is...

    LFP battery in Model 3

Huh, that's interesting, they're all brand new too, not even demos, and they're not tacking on FSD, how odd.

    RWD & Hydroplaning

Just curious, from other RWD owners, how well do you think the M3 in RWD configs handles the rain? I'm completely shocked how scary it has been a couple times I've been in heavy rain situations. I continuously felt the rear end start to move out on me, and that's while going 45-50mph, it felt...

    New owner questions

I've had Geico for many years now, insurance went from $1200/year to $1800/year with a M3 SR+, and my old vehicle was a similar price. $100k/300k limits, $100 comprehensive, $750 collision deductibles, full rental and roadside. I shopped around before taking delivery, but no one was...

    Model 3 seat upgrade?

Ventilated seats are the 1 feature I miss from my previous vehicle, and I didn't think I'd really miss them that much. But that being said, not worth $3k to me, but I'm someone who usually keeps cars 2-3 years, so large modifications aren't worth it to me as I wouldn't get most of that money back.
  32. T

    Why should I get a 3 instead of a Y?

The main reasons to choose the MY over the M3 (in my eyes): Higher seating position Rear seat headroom Cargo room/practicality Cons: Uglier bubblier design Higher price point (especially since no SR) Worse handling Personally, if they still offered the SR MY in May when I placed my order, I...

    PA Safety Inspection

Got my M3 a few weeks ago, and I need to get the PA Safety inspection, which is such a weird concept, to get a brand new car inspected. I don't have a regular mechanic since I've traditionally had newer cars and just service them at the dealer. Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent...

Discussion: Tesla Vision system for Model 3/Y

It's obviously been a goal of the company for many years now, and they've been working on it, but if they had supply chain issues and had to either release software that does 80-90% of what their previous version did, or not ship out almost any vehicles in the quarter, I'm pretty sure we all...

    Model 3 Financing

Usually doing multiple credit pulls within a month doesn't hurt your credit too much, but I wouldn't go nuts. You might want to run your credit report and make sure you don't have anything bad going on, like some fraud. Do you have other items on your credit report like credit cards, mortgage...

Discussion: Tesla Vision system for Model 3/Y

I mostly agree, but autopilot won't work for a myriad of reasons, like bad lane markings, or issues with the side cameras, it doesn't mean it can't see ahead. It's one of those things that we will never know until someone experiences an event where it saves them (or doesn't) from an accident...

    Spotify loading endlessly

The spotify integration is about the only reason I would pay for premium connectivity, and honestly it leaves something to be desired, plus it would be spending another $10 a month, to $20 in total for Spotify... I think I'll just use my phone.

    Black Screen in the morning

Out of curiosity, do you have Cabin Overheat Protection on or not? I've heard people complain that the screen can overheat if it's not on. Maybe it's something to try if it's not enabled.

Discussion: Tesla Vision system for Model 3/Y

You're right, you can't win with people. And I've heard Supercruise is the best system out there, and it uses face tracking, so I think I'm ok with it, though I may still have my hands on the wheel anyway, still don't fully trust the computers.

    Geico = gouge-co

Just got my M3, Geico went from ~$580/6 months to $910, and that's with upping my deductible to $750 for collision. I checked around and got rates ranging from $900-3500 for 6 months! Early 30s, single, no tickets, 1 fender bender 2 years ago. I can't believe these prices for Teslas...

Touchless Delivery at Devon, PA Location - What to Expect?

Just picked up mine yesterday from Devon, it was mostly easy. I got there, told them my name, they directed me to my car. Inside was a clip board with paperwork. My SA came out and chatted a bit, I started to sign the paperwork, they put a plate on, took the plate from my trade and I walked...

    Geico = gouge-co

I'm guessing he just means don't choose soley based on price. If a few companies are close in price, research the satisfaction rates between them. Paying double for anything is never smart,

Discussion: Tesla Vision system for Model 3/Y

Once the bugs are worked out of TeslaVision, I'm sure they will remove radar support from the older vehicles, thats why they didn't change any of the cameras on newer vehicles.

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

haha, you're dates are exactly the same as mine. Ordered 5/15, and picking up 6/10, but I'm on the other coast. Still doesn't make sense with orders still from April not being delivered yet. I think it must have to do with allocations per area and/or demand.
