    FSD free trial

I fear that for all of us on 2024.8.x (40% based on TeslaFi data), we'll just be out of luck for this FSD trial.

    Wiper and high beam issue

Yeah I guess I'm not the first nor the only one reporting the news ;) But people subscribed to this thread, especially those driving a Model Y, will be happy to learn that wipers can now be disabled while in AutoPilot.

    Wiper and high beam issue

Automatic wipers can now be set to OFF since 2023.44.30.8, even on AP, according to this article from Not a Tesla App: Didn't have a chance to test it yet but if this is confirmed, this will clearly be the most exciting "feature" of the holiday update, at least for me! 🍾

    Charge Oddity post 2023.44.30.8 Update

Hi, For a few days nows, I'm getting notifications from the Tesla saying the charging was interrupted. It can happen multiple times during a charging session. However I do not need to do anything, charging resumes by itself. No alerts whatsoever in service mode. I would say it started since I...

I guess it was just released in a few more countries then, including Canada. It's coming your way by the end of the year anyway, there's hope :)

New iOS Shortcuts support - How to use if you have more than one Tesla?

I have exactly the same question. I was not able to figure out how to specify which car the shortcut has to apply to. I think it applies by default to the "last seen" car in the app, which is not convenient at all.

Add Wall Connector to Tesla App

Click on your profile account icon (top right), then you should see this menu: Click on "Add / Remove products". This is where I could see the new option "Wall Connector"

Add Wall Connector to Tesla App

Wall charger integration is now availalble in Canada, it was either just added in iOS Tesla app 4.24 or just released in Canada / US (it says "Connecteur mural" in French in my screenshot below). Will test it right now.

Add Wall Connector to Tesla App

Wall charger app integration may eventually be available later this year (at least in Canada), as stated in the description of the new universal wall charger released today. See the little note:

Charges to 84% when charge set to 80%

Yes this is normal, this is the BMS (Battery Management System) doing its calibration once the battery is charged to the desired level. I set my charge limit at 80% as well and often end up with 81% or 82%. No worries :)

More paint choices than same 5

This just changed a few weeks ago, white is not the default color anymore for M3 and MY in North America. Midnight Silver Metallic took over.

    2nd HV battery replacement!

Thanks! I might eventually give a shot at Tessie! I did a battery health test in service mode this last week end. I ended up with a result of only 90%, I can't tell what the health test result was on my previous battery since I didn't run a test, but it seems to me that 10% battery degradation...

    2nd HV battery replacement!

I just had my HV battery replaced on my 2 years old M3 SR+. My wife drove it on a 500km round trip to her head office and told me she had to use a SC on each trip. She used to charge the car to 90% and would arrive at 10% SoC, without any charging stop necessary, but she told me she had to...

"Update available" to a previous firmware version

I guess it was a bug or something. I waited a few days and it eventually prompted me with the 2022.44.30 version instead of the 2022.44.25. Weird.

"Update available" to a previous firmware version

My M3 is currently on 2022.44.25.3 and the app notified me that the first iteration of this version (2022.44.25) was available for download. How is that possible? I thought the ending .x were version fixes. Should I grab it or just wait a few days / weeks to get the most recent version pushed...

    Wiper and high beam issue

There were numerous threads on that matter. ✅Auto high-beam feature was fixed in a recent OTA update. ❎ However, auto wipers in MYs still do not work as expected, especially at night. Tesla SC told me a fix is in the way (it could take months though)

Reached out to tesla for known wiper issue...

Auto-wipers on Montreal salty highways bother me enough to disengage AP. Let's hope they fix it in a matter of months, not years like the auto high-beams. I agree, auto high beams now work like a charm, with or without AP.

Reached out to tesla for known wiper issue...

Update: I had my SC appointment this morning, which as I expected, lasted less than 10 minutes. They told me I was not the first Model Y customer to file a service request about this issue these last few weeks, and that they're communicating with the mothership to get this issue fixed in an...

Reached out to tesla for known wiper issue...

I consider those features as being core features exactly like @mabbas described them: Again, totally agree. Reached out to tesla for known wiper issue...

Not sure I follow you here. When AP or AS is on, a press on the left stalk button will display the wipers settings, But if you tap on "OFF", it will automatically reset itself immediately to "AUTO".

Reached out to tesla for known wiper issue...

I'm totally with @mabbas on this. I've got in touch with support through the app no later than yesterday for the exact same issue. Autopilot and Autosteer, a core Tesla functionnality, made completely unusable 5, 6 months per year where I live, just because Tesla can't get auto wipers to work as...

BBC Fake News - Tesla ordered to recall more than a million US cars

All I'm saying is that when you're getting close to retirement, you know your income will decrease a lot, so you should plan your budget ahead in a appropriate way based on your future retiree income. If your monthly budget is so tight you can't even afford an internet connection at home, I...

BBC Fake News - Tesla ordered to recall more than a million US cars

Well... we're all acknowledging this. That's not the point and you perfectly know it. Those headlines are purposedly misleading because a recall "normally conveys literally bringing one’s car to a mechanic for work", which is not the case with OTA updates. Me neither!

BBC Fake News - Tesla ordered to recall more than a million US cars

Do I really have to explain? If you don't see why all those click-baiting "1 million+ Tesla vehicles recalled" headlines are misleading, then you obviously and deliberately don't want to understand the point here. Tesla's recall that wasn't: How Musk revolutionized the auto industry

BBC Fake News - Tesla ordered to recall more than a million US cars

It may be factually "accurate", but it is purposedly misleading. That's the whole point of the thread
  40. X

BBC Fake News - Tesla ordered to recall more than a million US cars

A real recall means vehicles have to be brought to a service center and go through physical, hardware repairs. Any issue that can be fixed through a software update shouldn't be named a "recall", because it's simply not a recall as the automative industry calls it since decades. NTHSA needs to...

BBC Fake News - Tesla ordered to recall more than a million US cars

You clearly understood what the topic is all about here, didn't you? If not, I don't understand what you're trying to prove. Calling an OTA update a "recall", even if it is mandatory, is a total nonsense, period. The NHTSA is probably too lazy to come up with a new terminology... and meanwhile...

I think you should ask yourself one simple question: "Do I really need it?". Auto High Beam making Autosteer unusable

    Wall Connector Power Sharing

I always thought power sharing was supposed to work this way by design, but apparently not! Yesterday we had to charge both Teslas (MYLR and M3SR+).
