I wouldn’t try to assume why or why the date didn’t push out. Well, at least I did, ha! Back when my window was between January and the beginning of February, I was in the Tesla store and asked and they looked and said “mine is in production” and should be delivered by the 1st week of February...

You rejected the car but they will fix and you get the same car? I thought usually rejecting means you would lose that VIN and a totally different car would be in your future?

Nothing against anyone, but I think we all make assumptions, but (another one incoming) I think Tesla is just all over the place. I had the same text a couple weeks back and said No Trade, and my EDD has been pushed out 2x since then and at the time of text I was on a shorter window as well...

That seems like a really late EDD - don’t think I’ve seen that far out for MYP yet. I’m guessing it will tighten up.

You would have to tell Tesla (SA) you want your order on hold if they allow it. They would give you a maximum date it can be on hold but you can release the hold at any point before then yourself with a button in your account. But no telling when you would get it. Some have gotten it right after...

Seems like lots of people are getting re-VIN’d almost right away. Did you put on hold or really taking the gamble for a lower VIN number? Will you take the next one regardless?

I would agree with taking the older chipset. But another way to think is that everyone who was getting cars until about January 5th 2022 were getting the older chipset before AMD rolled out. They didn’t know any better yet here we are less than two months later so worried. I’m one of those...

Both, and the 3’s are seeing it too. It was stated in earnings call they wouldn’t be fully transitioned until the end of the 2nd quarter.

Was yours Intel or AMD?

They had a new red with white interior on the discord new inventory a few hours ago today in Tampa, Florida. Keep an eye out there if you don’t want to wait. I’ve seen a lot of Florida and Georgia ones the last couple days but they go as fast as they pop up.

Also, think about your future plans. The 4680 battery and all that jazz will be coming out within the next months-year. Do you plan to keep this specific Tesla for years or upgrade in a year or two? Always be new stuff and tech coming. That’s Tesla. Kind of my thought when I was so stuck on AMD...

AMD or Intel?

Usually your SA or Tesla online support or call can use the VIN to at least see the details like this, Yes. From initial data, it seems as though VIN's 376+ are being hit with Intel chips after the last month batch prior being AMD. Seeing it happen in the M3 thread and for MYLR as well now.

You would need to reject the VIN first, then you typically can.

Did you put it on hold or just reject? Seems like many are rematched very quickly after which may very well be an Intel again. Tesla states in the agreement you can reject once VIN and they can auto cancel your order if you do it again if chosen. I haven't gotten my VIN yet, so debating what...
