High Voltage Isolation issue on 2022 Model X Plaid

Follow up on this issue: The car as taken to Tesla Service Center. They had to replace the Rear Right Inverter and high voltage cables. Insulation is normal now. The car is working now, waiting to get it back.

Hi, I just recently had an issue on my 2022 Model X Plaid and I'm looking for some help from people more experienced on debugging this kind of complex issue. Last saturday I started a drive around the city, and after parking and putting on reverse, I got the following errors: BMS_a170 and...

Model X, error message "Plan your next charge"

I'm getting daily messages from other Tesla owners here in Brazil, and this is widespread to everyone with the most recent 2023 updates!!! This is very anoying! Has anyone found a solution yet? Are there any tricks to create a charger in the car map so it thinks it has a charger around?

Put your own SIM, will be Premium connectivity?

Actually, I also want to figure that out… You would need to root into your MCU to upload new map files. It can be done but hard to do.

What does a Tesla do when changing countries?

Sorry, no known fixed to that. Also, it almost never reads a sign. Since stop sign and traffic lights Autopilot doesn’t work here in Brazil, it’s not a big deal

Put your own SIM, will be Premium connectivity?

Hey @AlexUA , we are in the same situation on Brazil: no maps, no heat up before charging, etc. Do you know if someone in Ukraine was ever successful in solving the map navigation issue, doing something like changing the car map file? Just wondering if there’s a workaround for that

    36.X and Steering Wheel Weight?

I have been noticing Autopilot disengagement without notice due to weight on wheel since 2022.36 as well. I noticed that after 12-14 minutes of weight use the car will disengage without notice. Here is a video of that happening; Video It disengaged at 18:15 on the clock. On that day I stated...

Anyone tried to DIY install homelink?

Great news! The "missing link" really was finding out that you need that "retrofit" command before the "test". The documentation don't mention that, and we found that out using the toolbox on a "trial and error" basis. I'm glad it worked with Service Mode only! I suspected that, but it's...

    HomeLink DIY install

Hi, today I successfully installed HomeLink without the help of Tesla Service (since we don't have service in my country), with the use of Toolbox 3: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/posts/7197628/ There might be a way to install it event without the Toolbox, which I mentioned on the thread above

Today a friend of mine noticed that if you enter "Service Mode" on the car, even without the Toolbox 3, it has an option to run "Homelink Retrofit" It seems that you might be able to enable HomeLink even without the Toolbox 3, directly on the car. After doing the Retrofit, the option to TEST...

Anyone tried to DIY install homelink?

Hi, I just did a DIY HomeLink install without Tesla's service center, with the help of a repair shop that had access to Tesla Toolbox 3. After installing the module in the front of the car, you need to run the command called "HOMELINK RETROFIT" (or something like that, I don't remember it...

What does a Tesla do when changing countries?

Personal experience using a US spec Tesla Model Y in Brazil: 1) The maps in the car will be only from North America. There are ways to use the Tesla Toolbox to load another official Tesla map file (which I believe DO exist for South Korea). A Tesla service center should be able to do that but...

2022.24.5 has removed "FSD Visualization Preview" and "Traffic Light Control" when car is outside the US

Yes, I’m on 2022.36.6 and all versions after 2022.24.5 have the FSD visualization preview option removed. This happened for all Tesla cars in Brazil. Also, the “summon by key fob” function was also disabled. We currently only have Summon by the app, and the phone needs to be REALLY CLOSE to the...

2022.24.5 has removed "FSD Visualization Preview" and "Traffic Light Control" when car is outside the US

Yes, Brazil. But I believe any other country in Central or South America would show the same behavior. How to connect to a Wi-Fi network without Internet?

I'm using a Wi-Fi connection on my car, while on drive, that connects to a USB LTE Modem pluged to a Raspberry Pi that works as a Wifi hotspot for the car. However, I noticed that if the LTE Modem loses internet connection (in a region of poor coverage, for example), the car automatically...
