    Supercharger - Sutherlin, OR

I'll second this. It would sure make life easier when over on the coast.

    Supercharger - Sutherlin, OR

Looking good....thanks for the update. I'll for sure be trying it out at the end of March.....whether I need it or not.

    Supercharger - Sutherlin, OR

Thank you all for your helpful responses. I haven't traveled this route in years and don't really remember how the terrain was, except it involved mountains. Yes, snow is one of the considerations I'll for sure be looking at. If snow is forecast, I'll for sure be taking one of my ICE...

    Supercharger - Sutherlin, OR

I'll be coming from Bend and ending up in Springfield, via Canyonville. I may not need a charge between, but I just want to have options in case I need to add a little juice. Myrtle Creek would be a good one though, I could for sure easily make that one only about 6 miles, LOL....thanks for the...

    Supercharger - Sutherlin, OR

I'll be visiting that one around the end of March and, based on the inputs here, I am guessing it'll be open by then. If not, it's over to the Dairy Queen to use the crappy Electrify America ones......and get an ice cream while I wait.

Hit and run in parking lot

Thanks, I agree. The insurance co. has already processed the claim and is sending me an "initial" check for the repairs.....less my deductible. After the repair shop tears into it and sees what's going on that isn't visible in the pictures, I may or may not get another one.

Hit and run in parking lot

Me too! I ended up manually downloading it from the vehicle memory to the flash drive using the little download button in the viewer. I received the email estimate from the insurance co. and it does show a new trunk lid.....with everything running over $4000 total. I took the estimate to the...

Hit and run in parking lot

Bingo! You're right. The new MS manual, IMO, isn't very clear about how to save it to the flash drive but, once you said this I went out to the vehicle and "finally" figured it out. Thank you. That one "Alarm" video is stored in the vehicle's memory (not initially on the flash drive), and...

Hit and run in parking lot

I ran Recuva on the factory flash drive and nothing had been erased, so I knew it had to be there somewhere. I then hooked the drive (not the copy I made on the hard drive) up to the WebApp Player and watched all of the videos from Feb. 21, which was the day I was pretty sure it happened. I...

Hit and run in parking lot

Thanks to both of you. Since I've never looked at any of the videos before, there are 5212 files on the flash drive. I did copy them to the computer and have been searching for the video I saw part of ever since. Still haven't found it and I know I didn't erase anything. I looked at the Owner's...

Android App not waking up and connecting to Model 3

Thanks, I'll look on their web page. I am guessing they have it defaulted to Channel 1, do you think that is correct? I have the repeater connected to my phone and the home computers only, so far. I have never been able to figure out how to get internet access with the wall charger. It always...

Hit and run in parking lot

In our recent travels someone backed into my almost new S Plaid. It didn't do a lot of damage, in fact I didn't even notice it until someone else pointed it out. Most of the damage is in the lower trunk right near the latch but it doesn't seem to adversely affect the operation of the trunk...

Android App not waking up and connecting to Model 3

OK, I am back and am pretty sure the lack of quick access to the Tesla app. is related to my home WIFI system strength and/or dBm rate, whatever that is. In our travels we stayed at several hotels that obviously had good WIFI setups. Several of them would allow connection to the app. in less...

Android App not waking up and connecting to Model 3

Once again, thank you.....some good info. for me to research and "attempt" to straighten out. It may be a while, as I'll be out of town for a week or two. When I get time I'll have at it and report my findings.

Android App not waking up and connecting to Model 3

Ahh! My simple mind is beginning to absorb some of this. THANKS AGAIN! Yes, when I pull down the "notification shade" (never knew that's what it was called), the Tesla app. is there in all it's glory. I've used this many times and it is almost always there. My phone is a 5G one and my carrier...

You guys are making my head spin, LOL. I don't have a clue what this means???

Android App not waking up and connecting to Model 3

Thanks again for your assistance and knowledge. I am guessing you can tell that I don't know squat about all this technology stuff. Most of it is pretty much Greek to me. You should watch me trying to figure the Tesla out.....I will never figure it out completely, LOL. I have noticed that I can...

Android App not waking up and connecting to Model 3

Apparently my phone's Optimization is on all of the time and cannot be turned off. I was able to verify the Tesla App is not in deep sleep though. I am thinking, like some have said, it's the signal, or lack of, that is causing at least some of this issue. I know, at my house, I have some "dead...

Android App not waking up and connecting to Model 3

My phone is a Samsung A32 and, when in the Tesla App. the only items available are: Allow Background Activity (set to on); Optimize Battery Usage (under it is says, "Optimizing battery usage")....and there are no options to change it; Active Use with the most recent time app was used (minutes...

Android App not waking up and connecting to Model 3

It doesn't seem to matter where I am.....home, market, mall, etc., it always takes up to a half minute or so to wake up. When I am away from the vehicle, I do have it in Sentry mode though. Also, if I poll the vehicle again within a few minutes, it is quicker to respond and does only take 5-15...

Android App not waking up and connecting to Model 3

I don't know if this is exactly the same issue as the Op's, but my Samsung Android A32 seems to have trouble connecting the Tesla App. to the vehicle. On a regular basis I'll get the following message, "Last seen X hours or X minutes ago" with the X being the number of hours or minutes it was...

    $12K for FSD is insane

Fortunately, I usually keep my vehicles almost forever if I like them, so I figure I can wait it out and, hopefully, reach some sort of break even point eventually. Longest I've kept one is almost 29 years. Others....18 years in July and another 13 years in October. I think I'll probably be...

What is the one feature you would like to see added to the Model Y?

Why not add the Model S to this too? Looks like most of the Model Y folks don't want much.....NOT! It's difficult to just list ONE item for any model. FWIW, here's my "short" list for Model S Refresh. Some apply to all models. --Adjustable lane position when on autopilot (fudge to one side or...

    $12K for FSD is insane

I was going to initially buy a Plaid Plus without FSD so had already set the $$$$ aside. When they cancelled the Plus, I just put that toward the FSD on the Plaid. I have the same attitude as some of the other folks......eventually, hopefully in my lifetime, they'll get it working well enough to...

An honest review of the yoke

IMO, Roblab has hit the nail on the head.....no, all the nails on all the heads. I am nearly 79 and feel as he does, "Realize that change has always been with us and adapt." Otherwise, we'd still be in the Stone Age. I've had my Plaid for 4 months now and I have not had any problems adapting to...

    Wiki 2021+ Model S Refresh - Missing/Incomplete Software Features

I've been getting a random "frunk open" indication on my MSP for quite some time. It seems to come and go and sometimes I just need to open it and then close and the fault goes away for a while. I have an appointment on Monday to get it fixed and I'll post up what they find. I think it's just...

    Model S Software/Firmware wishlist

Where I live there are a lot of 2 lane high speed highways, sometimes with heavy traffic including large trucks. These highways also tend to have more than their fair share of head on crashes so, when on Autopilot, I'd like to be able to "fudge" over to the right about 6-12 inches or so instead...

Getting In/Out Model S for Large Folks

Thanks for your input. I agree, that is part of the problem. I'll have to try raising the seat a bit. The foot wells are deeper on the door side than most vehicles too and that doesn't always help either, especially when in a tight area where the door won't completely open.

Getting In/Out Model S for Large Folks

I know this thread is a little old and no one has posted in about 8 months, but hopefully someone can shed some light on how to make a more graceful entry (and exit) to the new S's without coming away with a bruised skull....or ego. I am kind of in the same situation. I am 5' 11" and "well...

Location Privacy - Can I hide my location?

If I were going to a strip club, I'd be more worried about my wife seeing the location, not the kids. For that matter the kids would probably want to meet me there.

    Clarification on Tint

Doesn't the CHP still hassle you if you have ANY tint on the front side windows? When I use to live there years ago, I had one CHP guy chased me down on I-5 like I was a violent felon and give me a ticket for having 25 on my front sides. Currently, on my MS Plaid, I run SunTek nano-hybrid...

Model S Plaid Brakes Are Terrible!

They are now offering a track brake package for a mere $20K. I agree though, My 300C SRT8 had better brakes than my Plaid. Also, because I know it, I try to drive accordingly and not "over drive" the brakes.
