Just pulled the trigger and paid for the upgrade. Got the confirmation email and it said to wait for the FSD software upgrade to be downloaded? Anyone knows what’s next? Do I have to contact the service center to set up an appointment for the HW3.0 upgrade?

EAP is supposed to have NOA and Smart Summon. They will not switch them off. And that's also why it is only $3000 to upgrade now from EAP to FSD. If you only have basic AP, it should be more expensive. Upgrading now is more a bet that "real" FSD will come eventually; the only short term extra...

Tesla has always been inconsistent so I guess we just have to wait and see. For me, the Nav-on-autopilot and lane change are the ones I used the most. The rest are not as critical. Smart Summon is not quite smart so I never have the gut to trust it anyway.

Your gateway must be offline. Since you already responded in the other thread, did login to the gateway WiFi fixed it?

Do you mean you cannot connect to the WiFi of the gateway (TEG-XXX) or the gateway lost connection again? I think if it is the first case, it is meant to be. Once your gateway is connected to your home WiFi, the TEG-XXX is turned off.

Unfortunately, I actually need to sit right next to the gateway to see the SSID of the gateway WiFi. But since my guest room is one wall behind the gateway, I can just do it inside the house.

In my case, it seems like everytime my router is offline or rebooted, the gateway would go off my WiFi and did not connect back again. Maybe that's the problem I need Tesla tech to debug.

Why do you ever want to charge from grid if you have solar? Wouldn't this mess up your SGIP or Federal ITC?

Yes. After I posted this, I started using all the allocated IP address on my router and finally got one which worked. (Actually it was the first one on the list so it was not too bad.) But does anyone get the name address to work at all instead of the IP address?

I think in the agreement it also said that PG&E can choose to dump excess power into the battery. There is also supposed to be a setting to limit how much PG&E can draw down on the battery but no mention of disallowing PG&E to dump into the PW2.

During the installation, my installer asked if I would agree to let PG&E to use my Powerwall as temproary storage for the grid to smooth out the grid. Is that a mean of VPP? I did not think much of it and checked the "yes" box. I wonder if that will affect my ITC from IRS.
