"Close" means delivery not 2 weeks apart from each other when there are days where 150 cars are being delivered at a time. Does that help or would you like to continue splitting hairs?

Up with the baby and decided to check my EDD, pushed back to 23 June to 14 July. Not even sure why they even bother with the "23 June" 10 Jan order on Grand Eagle. Resigning myself to the fact it isnt happening this side of the FY.

You are probably in the middle of a 3 month window of batch produced orders. Meaning you can order today, and someone else order in a month's time, and you will both get the car at the same time. This is a guess only, I nor anyone here has any way of truly knowing.

Nope, Grand Eagle Alexandria delivery and EDD changed to 17 June - 6 July Matter of time for the other Sydney deliveries change like this too.

Still 11-30 June EDD here, but I am not optimistic based on the trajectory of their flimsy analysis. Will definitely be giving them a courtesy ring when I'm back in the country to see if I can squeeze anything positive out of the situation.

That smells like a strawman argument to me. I don't dispute Australia's market status, the high demand for these cars, or if customers in Australia ultimately matters to Tesla. So I probably don't have the answer you're looking for.

Substitute "you would think" with "a reasonable expectation".. point remains. I think everyone here knows there is nothing contractually enforceable with the delivery dates, and I haven't seen anyone suggest such a thing.

We know they batch build, but it doesn't excuse when they choose to batch build, or how infrequent those batch builds are.

What is the point of going through the trouble of building into your customer interface a dynamic EDD, if it doesn't mean anything? Of course it is not guaranteed, but it is there to give the customer a (very) ballpark estimate so plans and decisions can be made. It is not a date, it is a 4...
