Did you just buy a Tesla from Hertz Car Rental?

Point of sale. As far as I know, all of the locations now should be doing it at point of sale. some have done it longer than others, but they can do it at point of sale.

Did you just buy a Tesla from Hertz Car Rental?

Hey folks! Purchased a 22 Model 3 with just 38k miles this weekend from Hertz. Now the process of getting it on our account. lol. Between the Federal EV credit and state incentives, was a very good deal.

Thank you for the data point! is that the Tesla trade in estimate? Or through another site?

Tesla Trade in Values for 2022 Model 3 LFP?

Great point. Wondering how many more EVs Hertz has to dump... and maybe that would stabilize things. We are also coming closer to tax time... so that should help the values just a weee bit more.

Tesla Trade in Values for 2022 Model 3 LFP?

Hey folks! Hoping someone can help me out. Looking at picking up one of the Hertz 2022 LFP Model 3s with around 50k miles. Great incentives on there but am wondering, what are roughly the trade in values for 22 LFP base Model 3s now? Unfortunately cannot get an estimate through Tesla website...

Question for the folks who bought a Hertz 2022... What is your trade in value now if you take it to Hertz?

of course, and plenty of people have gotten price adjustments. Until you have paid for it, it is not your car.

Discussion: Experiences Renting a Tesla Model 3 / Y from various companies

They are not going to go after renters for basic scratch and dents. The repairs they are talking about are mechanical issues, maintenance issues, etc. Also, they are not going to go after renters if the renters bought the "loss damage waiver" or insurance through Hertz. And people are not...

Hello from Cape Cod, Looking at a MYLR

if you loved the lightning, do you still need a pickup? if so, get a lightning. Just bought a new 23 for $7600 off of sticker, and then another 7500 fed at point of sale, and another 2k from state... far more comfy than any Tesla. lol. Am picking up 7 pax model 7 for the wifey though. =)

you are also missing the BIG one... much higher repair costs. Hertz has disclosed that.

Discussion: Experiences Renting a Tesla Model 3 / Y from various companies

Are you renting A Tesla model 3? or same type of class? Because Hertz also has EV6 and Polestar 2, and Volvo XC40 as well. The Bolt EV and SUV are also avail but generally lower class. IF you really want a tesla, reserve a tesla. 1. Depends on location but right now, likely not. 2 years...

    500 mile range? LOL

Ford lightning Standard Range doesn't seem that bad now. lol. So what is the rated efficiency for the Cybertruck? Less than 2.4mpkw?

The Cybertruck is more expensive to supercharge than a Ford F-150 costs in gas

should of bought a diesel. =) My friends routinely get 30+ in their GM diesels. In any case... quite a few friends who live in urban areas or cities, only supercharge. They do not have access to a garage, OR live in such old homes that putting in a Level 2 charger would be cost prohibitive...

The Cybertruck is more expensive to supercharge than a Ford F-150 costs in gas

Stop making sense... didn't you get the memo that burning a lot more fossil fuels to put up non-degradable plastic wind turbine blades (that use a crap ton of oil for lubrication and kill tons of wildlife).... AND using resources to make new plastic parts and battery components with children...
  15. M

The Cybertruck is more expensive to supercharge than a Ford F-150 costs in gas

Maybe for one or two states, however acrross the board, the states where electricity is cheap, it is due to nuclear and coal. "Green" energy is significantly more expensive in majority of states. For instance, in Philadelphia, there are superchargers with around $.15 or so rates... across the...

    Tesla Model Y Delivery experience

I hope you say that as a single guy with no kids. =) It's always fun picking up a new vehicle... for a few hours, but you can't really say it's the best day of your life if you've witnessed birth of your children or gotten married to a great partner.... or lost your virginity for that matter...

Tax credit 2024 [The tax credit discussion thread]

That’s great in which case will resolve my hold which we placed in end of December by not scheduling pickup date. They had it on hold for us until Jan 10th before they cancel order. So will start finding an even cheaper inventory car and start looking. Yay.

Tax credit 2024 [The tax credit discussion thread]

Interesting, so this must be a Tesla issue, because, on other forums, people had no issues claiming the credit on their lightning

Discussion: Experiences Renting a Tesla Model 3 / Y from various companies

I will say, over the last year, the experience has gone done though... most of the cars did not have charging cables last time I checked, not even a J1772 plug. Most people just supercharge. Now Hertz made it easier and just says, return it at any percentage and it is just a $35 charge, or $25...

Discussion: Experiences Renting a Tesla Model 3 / Y from various companies

I don't know about others but I have rented with Hertz for quite a while. EVERY TIME I reserved an EV, whether a Polestar or Tesla, I would get an email days ahead, with links to videos of how the Tesla works. Where to charge, how to start it, one pedal driving, etc. I can totally understand...

Tax credit 2024 [The tax credit discussion thread]

I have an order on hold, looking at 7 pax Model Y, and now they were as low as $46k. if they do POS this week, I will go through with it. Otherwise, will pick up F150 Lightning for myself, local dealers already have POS set up, and then wait longer on Model Y... or just wait for Juniper.... or...

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

Absolutely. We know what the fundamentals are. Yes, the Fed can keep on printing and increasing the money supply, however at a certain point the party crashes. In 2023 we had some MASSIVE bank failures... and more in total assets failing than in 2008/2009 GFC.

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

I make investment decisions based on that. But when buying a car, it is an expense for us, simple as that. Buy it, generate money from it for our business, then write it off, use it. It's a depreciating asset. But based on that thinking... People were buying Teslas for $20k more right? Or...

For sure. Just look at the impact that Tesla had on Polestar and Hyundai Ioniq.... I REALLY like the Ioniq 6 but the Tesla prices are just very competitive. Also, let's keep in mind, very soon we will have Chinese EVs here as well. They are already giving Tesla a major run for their money in...

yeah.... no. EVs are depreciating assets just like ANY other vehicle... and perhaps even worse as the new models of EVs are going to get substantially better with better batteries and efficiency. It's like saying my VHS player was going to be worth more as more people were going to learn...

Lots of reasons... 1. IMMEDIATELY get the $7,500.... you don't need to wait 3 or 4 months, especially if you make enough to claim full credit, odds are, you are still getting tax forms in middle of March. It would be April or May until you get your refund, 2. There is ZERO guarantee you will...

in the same boat, basically waiting a few more days until can push delivery into 2024... was told by one store rep that would be able to then process POS but who knows. Don't want to lose hte inventory discount and then have to wait another 3 months till Tesla does this in March for Q1 2024.

sure, but that is PRECISELY what it is. lol. Federal Government taking taxpayer funds to prop up the EV industry. Tesla lives off of these subsidies. Jan 1 we are just transferring our credit to them. Realistically, there should be none at all. =) I pay plenty of taxes, through a number of...

Unfair? Not really. The way the credit is written right now it is not about "no tax liability" but rather this applies AFter ALL other tax credits... so you could still be making really good money, but if you were eligible for other credits, which brought down your overall tax owed at the end...

there have actually been two price cuts on inventory cars. The first cut, was rather they kept inventory car prices the same, while raising build to order by $250. And about a week ago, they dropped them by an additional $750 or so, so now the inventory Model 3s are a bit over $1,000 cheaper...
