Great point. Wondering how many more EVs Hertz has to dump... and maybe that would stabilize things. We are also coming closer to tax time... so that should help the values just a weee bit more.

Hey folks! Hoping someone can help me out. Looking at picking up one of the Hertz 2022 LFP Model 3s with around 50k miles. Great incentives on there but am wondering, what are roughly the trade in values for 22 LFP base Model 3s now? Unfortunately cannot get an estimate through Tesla website...

if you loved the lightning, do you still need a pickup? if so, get a lightning. Just bought a new 23 for $7600 off of sticker, and then another 7500 fed at point of sale, and another 2k from state... far more comfy than any Tesla. lol. Am picking up 7 pax model 7 for the wifey though. =)

Are you renting A Tesla model 3? or same type of class? Because Hertz also has EV6 and Polestar 2, and Volvo XC40 as well. The Bolt EV and SUV are also avail but generally lower class. IF you really want a tesla, reserve a tesla. 1. Depends on location but right now, likely not. 2 years...

should of bought a diesel. =) My friends routinely get 30+ in their GM diesels. In any case... quite a few friends who live in urban areas or cities, only supercharge. They do not have access to a garage, OR live in such old homes that putting in a Level 2 charger would be cost prohibitive...

That’s great in which case will resolve my hold which we placed in end of December by not scheduling pickup date. They had it on hold for us until Jan 10th before they cancel order. So will start finding an even cheaper inventory car and start looking. Yay.

The Manager's Special at Hertz PHL is a Chevy Bolt. Totally forgot about that. I suppose yeah, people are not prepared for that.

I will say, over the last year, the experience has gone done though... most of the cars did not have charging cables last time I checked, not even a J1772 plug. Most people just supercharge. Now Hertz made it easier and just says, return it at any percentage and it is just a $35 charge, or $25...

I don't know about others but I have rented with Hertz for quite a while. EVERY TIME I reserved an EV, whether a Polestar or Tesla, I would get an email days ahead, with links to videos of how the Tesla works. Where to charge, how to start it, one pedal driving, etc. I can totally understand...

that is actually 100% wrong. go look up the IRs guidance, they excplitely call out Manufacturers who sell direct like Tesla, Lucid and Rivian.

I have an order on hold, looking at 7 pax Model Y, and now they were as low as $46k. if they do POS this week, I will go through with it. Otherwise, will pick up F150 Lightning for myself, local dealers already have POS set up, and then wait longer on Model Y... or just wait for Juniper.... or...

Absolutely. We know what the fundamentals are. Yes, the Fed can keep on printing and increasing the money supply, however at a certain point the party crashes. In 2023 we had some MASSIVE bank failures... and more in total assets failing than in 2008/2009 GFC.

Unfair? Not really. The way the credit is written right now it is not about "no tax liability" but rather this applies AFter ALL other tax credits... so you could still be making really good money, but if you were eligible for other credits, which brought down your overall tax owed at the end...

Actually, you won't have to pay it back. Only if your income is ABOVE the AGI limit. You don't have to pay it back if you did not make enough. =) Confirmed with a few accounting sites.

Hey folks! Question for you if anyone knows. We are getting close to the end of the year and some great discounts on inventory cars. Looks like Y will keep the credit, the question is, if we buy the car now (inventory discount)... and delay delivery into January 1st, would they do the point...

Who knows. They did drop inventory car prices another $1,250 today. Hoping to delay it a week or so and see if they do another drop in order to sell more cars before end of month/ quarter end.

Side profile, and that color is awesome... and of course, panel gaps are great, door handles are awesome, and fit and finish inside is superb. =P The back end does not look great, but side profile is superb. Mix of Citroen, Mercedes CLS, Porsche and of course Saab/Infiniti J30. lol.

there have actually been two price cuts on inventory cars. The first cut, was rather they kept inventory car prices the same, while raising build to order by $250. And about a week ago, they dropped them by an additional $750 or so, so now the inventory Model 3s are a bit over $1,000 cheaper...
