bit surprised Tesla SuC are now on both direction of the service station in J1/2 of M4 which is more or less an overkill if combined with the 2 hotels. Have a feeling the T5 Hilton one will be going away soon - but if going west, north and south options are still limited...
no you cant unplug…. you might be able to briefly pause. back then it was a thing you can disrupt the incumbent charger to put you on a higher priority.
now you just share when someone comes to your plug
i never had a problem registering some 20-25th minute then casually go back to the car.
that said, ive never gone over 40 mins unless i am eating/hving coffee upstairs.
re idle charge- my charging somehow stopped mid-charge the day after it snowed in london. eventually i disputed it w the...
the last sentence or two, i cannot agree more. either the papers or some stuff you want to do to your tesla (winkwink) that the person do not know how to do.
I royally kerbed my wheels the other day and am looking for replacement - obviously options is to get them from tesla UK or ebay/TMC/whatever then other off market stuff. Assuming I'm not after off market, does anyone know how much tesla charges for them (Performance turbine).
Of course, if...
Trip report from me too.
I have done this twice now, and can report that usually I've not run into issues in Europe (as compared to south mimms where waiting is normal.)
i was just outside paris today and had a short wait (like, 3 minutes?) and someone else also had a short wait otherwise its...
no warranty i suppose? That said, I've used the older ones for 4-5 years before I moved the car to the UK and did not take the charger with me since it was still in use.
Looking for a Wall charger (preferrably new). I know about the ebay ones, but i have no clue why there are so many standing around there!
if i get no offers from here I'll ask the SC next time i drop by them.
Thanks all.
I have the q with a twist. I’ve got 22kw charging in the past (2015 MS), but when at tesco pod point since november or sth i’ve lost 22kw and would only charge at 11kw…. anyone knows why?
I have done that when I first got my tesla 5-6 years ago. The other car was a 90s SL (exactly why it wasnt gotten rid of too) so there was no warnings whatever you try to do.
Went to the shop to pick some stuff and came back to a running car. (that said, in some winter countries it's perfectly...
it sounds a bit like the actuator giving some time in the future... (but mine just went - never had a "30%" moment) It wouldn't open but it's shown as open - and then I cant "close" it!
how did your boot go actually - mine was not detecting closing (prob a broken actuator) but i've managed to find a short term fix for now. wondering if it's the same problem or it's sth else
@electricboat thanks for your help over the year and a bit but I've finally had the car registered with DVLA! Seems like all this is a lifetime ago when the shipping fee now is a different ballgame. if anyone wants to ship the tesla (i think they are still just doing tesla), you won't get...
and when someone reminds you so accordingly.... The chargers were only 4/12 the day i posted but people still feel compelled to charge on the wrong side after a reminder.
the last week had been better since the broken charger's been fixed. but the few weeks before that had been chaotic.
Why the hell do people do this. it's "empty" at the lot right now (4 cars inside) but 2 arer charging on the wrong side.
2 weeks ago someone wantted to queue jump by charging on the wrong side. Back in where I come from we publicly name and shame those drivers (cars+plates, actually) on an open...
How warm to people usually set their car? I go from herts to central london 2-3 times a week and it makes a big diff i decide to go crazy on the heating and wear a tshirt, or set it to 19ish like the summer and dress accordingly. burn rate is like 600+ vs high 300s (so 50-60% ish)
well, with winter temperature you'd be burning more electrons than you'd think (unless you dont run the heating)
with my MS i hit average 600wh/mi in some slow traffic last week
i remember they had a longgggggg message on how to get charged on the map. I'm not by the car right now but I dont remember it talks about how to get rid of the charge (inverness and edinbrugh airport do, in a way or another)
sim- cant use spotify anyways and ive always listened to the same bbc that is now available on FM and DAB here so other than traffic data i dont really need built in mobile data. i can either keep paying for the sim in car or just stream from my mobile - but for the latter i will lose the...
how does the car fit the roads?
ive done the highlands twice (rentals - once a tiny ford ka and another time a 1 series bmw or sth. rental + small car never brought problems)
now life has moved on and I own an MS - but the only thing is... tiny roads vs a large car. does the car fit?!
I’m...
If you already have it, then yes. Charged it for a few times already
I've tried getting DAB radio channels whilst I've given data (either by tether or car sim).
Spotify is a wee bit of a bummer but I have apple music too so if I download my music to the phone (which I do) it's not actually so...
not so much the car. its stuck one way or another. it took like a month extra to land in the uk thanks to brexit related port issues, then virus related delays with the registration. but yeh. now i'm looking into the grant vs using the tesla charger...
PS: HK is type 2 too
Anyone owns a wall charger that wont be installing it? I've just relocated the MS from Hong Kong and will be needing one... OTOH, am checking out the smart chargers too....
I've been having the 21" MS in Hong Kong for a few years and am in the process of shipping the car to the UK.
Whilst in HK I've been using Continental Conti Sport Contact 5P (non silent) for 3 years min and usually fares quite well. Just have to get new sets every 12 months for the front (and...
indeed. one may aim to leave every morning with ard 70% charge, and max out the cheap charging every night.
If you drive more 1 day then the next day you may start with 60-65%; and you still have up to 80/90% to smooth things out on days you drive less.
the other thing I'd like to find out is...
thanks! I'll have a look. 7kWh isnt so much, considering It would take over a week to recharge from a low%
I havent actually check who was 2nd actually.
(oh - 7kWh/hr. much better!)
Heyyall.
Just moved to the UK along with me MS. seems like Octopus go would be the best deal around for home charging- will need a referral (the 2nd PM will get it)... and whats the deal with charging everyone gets at home - charging speed for the 4 hours we get at 5p/kWh? Not sure if I get 3...
Once he is out of job (ie, now) he'll be ok with keeping his flat. he spends all his money in ciggies and court fees so he's still eligible for public housing anyways.
You're better off worrying about the other legislators are pocketing money using their conflict of interest with the developers...
Had anyone experienced the follows (I've booked to be checked up next month when I'm out of town, but anyways) on a 1-2 yrs MS.
1) Ventilation is open between level 5 and like 10 (I thought they updated the software so its open =<4). I normally like to run the AC at 6-7 but in and near tunnels...
I've seen a few 911s and some M3/M5s being replaced by MS/X here. that said, many households have multiple cars to start with. but at least they have used an EV rather than an ICE. (Who can resist walking into a cool car on a hot day AND not needed go breath fumes on a tuesday/wednesday? I dont...
the day gas is out and singapore needs to look for another solution.
as long as they are still a gas lobbyist central for SEA, good luck. (That said, HKG is non better)
