Good question. Never an issue. I detail and clean the car myself once a week so I know the car through and through and that area is mostly clean and a shop vac used elsewhere does the trick there.

I had to do the same thing as you to get it to go away as well. A bug that will certainly be resolved in the coming updates.

I never had an issue with car seats in the middle row but after 8.0 last night it seems to think the seat is occupied and needs buckling (with car seats in it). The exclamation point drove me nuts enough to pull over and Buckle the seatbelt behind the car seat to have the warning turn off.
