On another note, but still the trunk, Tesla's cargo mat is a good fit. Happy with it.

Update on my red M3 that started this thread about a sunk-in hood. Tesla promised a new hood in one week to ten days. We contacted them for updates after 8 and 12 days. I had to push them for basic delivery update, such as whether the hood had shipped. Turned out it hadn't, but they could get it...

I'm in the camp of those who wrap the console in clear (glossy) wrap. If you look around at the interior, everything is matte, except the console. We may not admit it, but that central shiny object is enough to give a luxury feel to this beautifully simple design.

I use the Evannex Pet Cargo Cover in my six seater. That solves the issue.

TheQ, I thought it was well known that the quality of Tesla cars in some aspects is not up to scratch - yet. My last few cars were Toyota, VW, Mercedes, and Audi, and every one of them were higher standard when it comes to alignment of panels and other details, and, yes, I had a paint issue...

Hill hold works, but it requires a deliberate action. Most ICE cars don't slide back when you stop on an incline, and Tesla should be likewise. This is really perilous and could be fixed by a software update, one would think.

I put on Wheel Band sold by Evannex. It was easy to install; just be thorough with alcohol cleaning of the connecting surface of the rims. Not extremely high hopes for its protection, but at least I've done something.

Don't know about touch-up paint, but perhaps you should put on some rim protection. My wheels have Evannex' version; see photo. Perhaps the plastic ring rips off at first curb encounter, but it gives peace of mind that I've done what's possible to keep the wheels nice.

I wouldn't choose between MS and MX based on handling. Having got used to the fantastic helicopter feeling of MX' gigantic windshield, I would have trouble settling for anything less. I could go with a smaller car, though, and look forward to M3.

Got our model X 90D here in Maryland today, May 18. There were 21 MXes on the Tesla lot in Rockville. A well reputed wrap installer here in Maryland recommends Xpel on lighter cars, but SunTek for darker cars (mine will be Midnight Silver). He says SunTek stretches better (without showing stretch marks, apparently). Experience? Comments?
