    Model 3 Servicing - a thing?

So, with all of the connectivity, it seems that there is no 'you should bring your car in for a service' notification. Is that a thing? I know there is less to service but there must be something. Wipers? Brake fluid? Is it up to us to determine when to get a service? If so, when? I'm at...

I miss Android Auto - phone mounting solutions that you rate?

Well, that steering wheel one is for the bin :). It's just too hard to put the phone in it and I don't really want my nav going around with the wheel :-) I'll report back on the next option.

I miss Android Auto - phone mounting solutions that you rate?

Just taken delivery of my 3 and I miss the superior traffic/routes from Google in Android Auto and I also miss being able to have my paid for (Patreon) RSS feeds of my Podcasts. I'm going to look at how to have Android Auto working nicely in the Model 3. I've got Android Auto for Phones...

2 years on from selling my S, I'm considering a 3. What has got better, what still sucks?

I'm considering coming back to Tesla having sold my S about 2 years ago, what's changed in that time? Assume we still have limited to reasons to have FSD in Australia yet? I'm thinking about a 3 this time around.

How reliable is Spotify these days?

I used to have a Model S for 3 years until a couple of years ago and throughout that time Spotify would lose the account and was very buggy, how is it these days as I consider buying a Model 3?

Is the 3 as buggy as the S or better?

Having sold my S, I remember how frequently Spotify would log you out and then often wouldn't login easily again and how often you needed to reboot the screens. My colleague still has his newer S and says life is still the same. How about the 3?

When did you order your 2020 Roadster ?

During the reveal, maybe 5-10 mins after it came out of the semi

    Autopilot feature lag gripe.

My frustration with this lead me to cancel my 3 orders. I had an S for 3 years and got a little bored with the lack of keeping up with the US features. Basically, the 3 now has no more features than my S, 3 years ago. Frustrating. I've tried to get a response out of Elon (having had a few...

When will AU have Autopilot on par with the US?

Yeah, that was the main issue, AP and Summon didn't really change over 3 years.

When will AU have Autopilot on par with the US?

You're right. It wasn't like I went to anything more advanced, I just wanted a change.

When will AU have Autopilot on par with the US?

Yeah, it's a great car, I had an S for 3 years but got bored that it didn't get much smarter from an Autopilot perspective so sold it. I kept the 3 order (which I haven't followed through on) and the deposit on the Roadster. I'll wait and see how much the Gov restricts the innovation from...

When will AU have Autopilot on par with the US?

yeah, software. If we're 12 months behind now, it could be 2 years by the time orders need firming up. Not blaming Tesla, just typical for Australia.
  13. benflux

When will AU have Autopilot on par with the US?

just to catch up with where it is now would be good. I've got the Roadster on order but to have that arrive 12-18 months behind the US might make me not bother wiring the balance when the time comes.

When will AU have Autopilot on par with the US?

Anyone any ideas? I see they tout this year with a big asterix. I'm holding buying off because it might be years...

Chances of summon/autopilot being as good as the US in AU, ever?

Yes, I had an S. The summon was next to useless, you had to stand so close. I was hoping for better summon and auto lane change too.

Chances of summon/autopilot being as good as the US in AU, ever?

Anyone got any insight on AU approval for summon or autopilot as good as currently on Model 3s in the US making it here to Australia?

Aus Model 3 order page open!

my concern is that I had an S for 3 years and I purchased it on the promise of automated driving, it never really came and even summon was nothing like what had been promised.

Aus Model 3 order page open!

So, can they say this? Is it actually likely? What if you buy and it doesn't come? Is it approved to actually be allowed in Australia? "Coming later this year: Recognise and respond to traffic lights and stop signs. Automatic driving on city streets. Summon: your parked car will come find you...

Is the Spotify experience as buggy on the 3 as it is on the S?

It's so awful on the S. I sold the S and will likely order a 3 but for the last year of S ownership, Spotify was just way too buggy...

Is it the right time to trade up to HW2?

a performance boost from a 70D to a 75D with the new drive train is helping push me too....and the new nose
  21. benflux

Is it the right time to trade up to HW2?

Full Driving Capability is still a way off so that's not a pull on me to trade in my 2016 car, but is HW2? Now? Soon?
  22. benflux

    AP2 advantages

I'm thinking that Australia will be slow in approving fully automated driving so I'm tempted to sell my HW1 car now and pick up a new HW2 when things get more interesting

    AP2 advantages

When does the community think that the advantages of HW2 will start to show? I understand it's reached near parity now but I can't decide when to trade up....

    My 85D is ordered!

I guess I'm saying that I will pay someone to clean the car so making it easier for him doesn't save me any money so I'm questioning the need for me personally

    My 85D is ordered!

If you're paying a guy to clean your car, does the main benefit go away then?

    My 85D is ordered!

And that's what makes the experience so much better.

    My 85D is ordered!

I thought that the norm was to refuse any paint protection because it's not necessary and all it was was the dealer squeezing some more high margin dollars from the consumer with bat poo scare stories...is this some other product that IS worthwhile?

Great, can't wait for delivery :-)

    Tunein works in Australia?

OK great, does the content in Tunein match the content in their mobile app? One would assume so...?

    Tunein works in Australia?

I accidentally posted this elsewhere previously, forgetting there's an ANZ sub-forum: Is Tunein the alternative to Spotify in Australia? Assume it has the podcasts it has on the mobile version?

Any videos of Spotify in use?

Perfect, that's what I wanted. Thank you.

Any videos of Spotify in use?

It actually tipped me over the edge in the decision making process. I'm now awaiting my S.
  35. benflux

Any videos of Spotify in use?

True. A lack of Spotify always surprised me so I was pleased to hear about the change. I'm sure the UI will continue to improve if its lacking in any way.

Any videos of Spotify in use?

Thanks for that, I was hoping to see voice control and playlists, etc
