FWIW...I like the dark walnut, vertically oriented trim on the dash of my MB B-class, adds a lush look without glare. The light wood we've seen so far looks pre-sun faded and is almost horizontal which I think might create reflected glare.

...I suppose the wood as shown will make a good base for wrapping in a carbon fiber type material.

The wood shown so far is too light for me and I worry about the glare reflected from it into the driver's eyes.

I hope "Black interior only" includes black headliner as well. I really prefer an ALL black interior for its non-interfering visual noise which I feel distracts from the road and screen view. I also put in my vote for a black carbon (non-shiny) surface instead of the wood.

Do you guys think it might be possible to retrofit the 72 amp later to an early M3 that came with a 48 amp charger? What is the cost of a charger assembly? More amps are definitely mo better.

I sat in the Next-Gen at the Tesla showroom and found them to be excellent. I particularly liked the side bolsters for keeping lateral motion to a minimum.

With hindsight, I'm now pretty sure what Elon meant about "spaceship" is the large amount glass and the low dash sill giving the feeling of flying through space with a 360-ish field of view.

Perhaps the "Signature Red" M3 is not the fore runner of a reward color, but the gold "T" logo on the trunk will be. That would be an inexpensive yet unique and identifiable mark of acknowledgment. Of course anyone who comes on board later can just wrap/paint/plate a gold colored logo.

Midnight silver please. Dark grey metallic is a must because it not only looks rich it helps hide any seam issues.

That is my view as well...because my B-class MB is not AWD and if I punch it rubber is burned. As I understand it, the AWD will eliminate or minimize the chirping even though it does make me smile when it happens.

No. Their design team is perfectly capable of designing a decent front end to whatever criteria they are given. I do think Anders etc showed a good approach which made enough noise that Elon said let's look at it and see what some tweaking will do.

The right answer is to go for black. The original design sketches and alphas were emphasizing all glass and looked quite dramatic as a result. The black metal roof would connect the two black glass areas into one dramatic sweep from front to rear.
