My comfort depends on the delta between my called away price and the SP. 135 vs 270 was quite a stomach-ache to get through. 135 vs 200 is not that big of a deal...

It never feels like it until it does. Ask me how I felt sitting on -135c’s when SP hit 270 within a couple weeks.

Yep, I'm still sitting on 23 x -135c's, currently mid-Nov and mid-Dec expiries. Maybe it's heading my direction and I can start assembling a plan again after rolling them for $1 credits for about 7 months now.....

Looking into a broader picture: NVDA heavy on 200p for 5/19 and 6/16. It is also VERY heavy on 600 strike calls for 6/16 AAPL very heavy on 130 and 140 puts for 5/19 and super heavy on 130 puts for 6/16 SPX crazy heavy on 4000 puts for 5/19 and 6/16

And in that fashion, here are two more heavy put OIs for the upcoming months. 05/19 heavy on 180: 06/16 unusually heavy on 100(!):

So somebody DID know something. I had a feeling that this heavy 150p OI and the subsequent rising of its volume from 33.3k to 65k would be a magnet. I wouldn't be surprised if we touch 15x today or tomorrow. Then probably a reversal next week..

This is in 2 separate accounts and therefore not really a chance to use the entire premium for 1 btc. And I use the income on the cash account so there’s that. I’ll just keep on hoping! :rolleyes:

I have accepted the outcome mentally. The rule that I set for myself is if I can roll for $2 I keep on doing so. Today it reached that number (ish. I added an extra week for it). If the SP comes down to me, I’ll be happy. If it doesn’t, I’m ready to assign and sell puts at a decent premium...

I’ve simply converted shares at the wrong opportunity. Take price action and IV into consideration when you do it and it can be quite a profitable endeavor.

Buy when they are cheap! That helps a lot. I’ve personally lost a good $400k on them.

Maybe start dollar-cost averaging if you're considering investing more? Perhaps a $5 drop triggers a buy of 100, another $5 triggers another buy of 100, etc. Or go with an even more opportunistic method: SP @ 195 buys 50 SP @ 190 buys 75 SP @ 180 buys 100 SP @ 170 buys 200 etc.

146.23 in a few weeks would be a godsend for my account. I have sold all my LEAPs around 207-210 range a couple weeks ago and will be DCA'ing down, every $10 drop of SP will trigger BTO 3-4 LEAPs until I run out of free cash.

Hopium got the best of you - again! I’m positioning exactly the opposite. Trying to roll the 135s weekly until they magically expire worthless or close to that and I can roll up for a credit.

I believe so. I’m just not taking part in the ecstasy because a) of course I’m partially on the losing side this time (my leaps are very happy this week) b) we’ve had numerous run-ups last year only to hit new lows shortly after c) I don’t think the economy as a whole is doing much better...

YTD TSLA is up ~60% (in about 20 trading days, a 3% up average per day this month). I believe it's a massive bull trap...
