I emailed all the networks to ask them about this. I won’t say who replied, to protect them, but one has told me they have been trying for 18 months to get this done with Tesla, but Tesla seem to have deprioritised it and they can’t make headway.

I wondered if anyone knew the process for getting 3rd party charging networks (Evie, Chargefox, etc.) included in the Tesla route planner? I realise there’s no way for a Tesla owner to do this, but I see there are some in other countries, so there must be a way to get Tesla to include them.

I have been there! If it smells, wipe down with white vinegar on a cloth, then when dry, sprinkle bicarbonate of soda over the area and leave overnight. Vacuum up and wipe down again with white vinegar. No more smell.

One flaw with the Tesla navigation is that it only has Tesla chargers. It really needs other DC chargers in its database to be truly useful.

There is inefficiency everywhere, it isn’t unique to government. But, yes, I agree efficiency with public money should always be a priority. I would argue the #1 goal should be delivering good outcomes. I have seen optimisation/efficiency lead to some pretty poor outcomes in many places.

I’m booked in for 10am 15th September at Chatswood. It’s going to be a long 2 weeks! I‘m hoping autopilot calibrates on my drive home to the lower Blue Mountains, otherwise I’ll be driving in a 5km circle once I get home. Must get a new tag.

I can see a place for ships, trucks, trains, where you need maximum uptime of the asset, but not for cars, where it isn’t cost effective.

Yes, 1st September for the tax invoice, it’s worth $3k stamp duty! At least the accessories will give me something to do, since I will only be able to drive it in a 5km radius. My garage is turning into a bit of a Tesla cave 😀
