I drove by there earlier today, and there has been digging in the in the dirt adjacent to the parking asphalt, as well as marking paint on the disturbed dirt and maybe some markings on the asphalt.

I'm checking on a possible source for one. My idea is that, if one can be found, send it to you to "borrow", then when your ordered switch comes in, you send either borrowed or new switch back.

The only proximity technology that I'm aware of in the Roadster is pressure sensors in the seats to detect posteriors proximate to said seats (for air bag deployment interlock). There's no RFID tech in it that I know of.

Given that it's a Debug message, I don't think that this should concern you. My guess is that you're getting the message because of the spike of inrush current when the coolant pump starts. Maybe you should turn off the debug message display?
