    University Village Destination chargers

I was told today that these chargers are reserved for test drives but can be reserved for owners if you’re in a pinch. You need to call ahead to the store to reserve.

If I change tires to 22 from 20, will it affect range severely?

It does look better with the lowering bracket, but I don't see how it would ride better. All the brackets do is reposition the lowering/raising sensors to "fool" the car to lowering a bit more than usual. If anything, I would suspect the car would ride worse in the lower settings.

    22' tire recommendation

I had these before on my ML. They are noisy.

If I change tires to 22 from 20, will it affect range severely?

I find that when I set the car to "very low", it resets when the car is turned off and back on again. Is there a way to set the car to "very low" without having to continually set it?

If I change tires to 22 from 20, will it affect range severely?

Suspension is on low (always drive in this setting). I switch back and forth between my 20s and 22s. I've never changed any suspension setting and never had any faults or issues.

    University Village Destination chargers

Pretty sure those chargers are for the new Tesla dealership opening downstairs. In other words, not for public use.

If I change tires to 22 from 20, will it affect range severely?

Worth the slight dip in range for this look IMO. I have a set of both the 20s and 22s. I do not notice any increase tire noise with the Pirelli Scorpions. The ride is only slightly firmer and handling is more sharp.

    Stormtrooper'd my Model X

You're crazy :) Have you not seen how much brake dust accumulates on the wheels?

    Stormtrooper'd my Model X

Looks great IMO and very easy to keep clean for lazy people like me :)

    Stormtrooper'd my Model X

I would consider white calipers on a car with ceramic brakes. Would be impossible to keep clean otherwise.

    Stormtrooper'd my Model X

I've seen blacked out blue/red/grey Teslas and honestly think that chrome looks better. However, on black or white Teslas blacked out chrome looks way better IMO.

    Stormtrooper'd my Model X

I looked into wrapping, but my installer said you would be left with a seam on the mirror arms. Plasti-dip is really easy as long as you spend time prepping properly. Very happy with the results. I went with matte (no Glossifier) to match the onyx black wheels.

    Recommended TPMS for Model X

    I installed HUFF 433Mhz and they work perfectly: Tesla TPMS sensor 1034602-01-A, 1034602-00-B, 103460200A, 103460200B, SE52068, RDE051

My MX now matches my other Stormtrooper. That ones gets slightly worst mileage :)

Another pic from my iPhone. Trim was blacked out using a few cans of Plasti-dip :)

    Stormtrooper'd my Model X

Finally finished up on tweaking my Model X. Added: - 22" Onyx OEM turbine wheels (delivered with 20" silver turbines) - Blacked out chrome - Tinted windows Subtle changes, but I like it :)

    Version 2018.10.4

Has anyone noticed a significant improvement in efficiency with this latest update? I’m seeing <300 w/ml on the highway since the update in my MX 75D. I’ve never seen consumption that low before.

    Sudden Increase in Consumption Rate

Ok so I ran a test and drove to work with the heater completely turned off. Result - 297 Wh/mile. Had no idea that the heater consumed so much energy even when the temperature differential was only 15 degrees.

    Sudden Increase in Consumption Rate

I posted a very similar problem. After I uncorked the car, I went from low to mid 300 Wh/M to over 400. Even driving at 60-70 mph, I cannot go below 370. The weather has gotten a bit cooler in the PNW, but it's not that cold yet at around 50 degrees.

Anyone notice Wh/mi increase after uncorking?

I recently had my MX 75D uncorked. As expected, my Wh/mi spiked shortly afterwards as I was "testing" the increase in acceleration. However, I've noticed that my consumption has increased from ~350 Wh/mi to ~390 Wh/mi driving the same roads at the same speeds. Has anyone else noticed this? It is...

    0 to 60 uncork

Very cool! Thanks for posting this. I watched the video and followed the steps and confirmed that my car had the line: "perf_config": "P1", This confirms that my MX was successfully uncorked :)

    0 to 60 uncork

The software update alone will not uncork your car. A tech needs to install firmware via a laptop plugged in to the car's main computer. There's one easy way to figure out whether or not you've been uncorked. Floor the accelerator and watch the consumption circle chart on your dashboard. If...

    0 to 60 uncork

Ok, my car is officially uncorked! Not sure what power output is, but now consumption graph on dashboard is pegged at 300kW during acceleration. I was able to do one run with my wife timing on a slight incline - result 0-60 was 5.1s. Car definitely feels faster :)

    0 to 60 uncork

Spoke to the mobile service tech. He confirmed that the firmware was installed but the performance upgrade option was still not toggled on. He’s taking care of it now.

Thanks for your response Polar993. BTW, I had a Glacier White 993S back in the day :) According to my SC, firmware version 17.42.37 was installed but it appears it was reverted back somehow? Thankfully, Tesla is sending a mobile unit to my house now to try again. They also gave me a MX P100D...

    0 to 60 uncork

Well I received my MX 75D back today and could not notice any "seat of the pants" difference in acceleration. I pulled up the power output graph on my dashboard and floored it. I only saw ~ 260kw which is unchanged prior to uncorking. Lastly, I did several timed acceleration runs to 60 and the...

Anyone willing to rent out or loan a ChadeMo adapter?

Anyone have a ChadeMo adapter that I could borrow or rent for this weekend? Happy to pay deposit. Heading to Lake Chelan in my MX75D. When the Wenatchee SC goes up, these trip should be a piece of cake!

Great timing - AC craps out during 95 degree heatwave in Seattle

Got my MX back today. Turns out that it was the O ring failing and leaking refrigerant. Seems like this is a common issue for these cars.

Great timing - AC craps out during 95 degree heatwave in Seattle

The AC on my 2 month old MX 75D decided to stop working today. There was a loud hiss coming from the vents and only warm air. Drove straight to the SC in Bellevue, WA and handed the car off to the techs. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. On a positive note, I was given a MX 90D that I'll be...
