Yes, the button folds the seats and unlocks the slide forward and backward. It does not slide forward automatically via a button press.

I am surprised as well. Especially after they have shown a history of making these upgrades. I paid for FSD upfront because of this history and bought it at the end of last year based on it as well. I guess it comes down to if HW3 can really achieve autonomy. I hope the definition of autonomy...

Update - the repair did make a difference in air flow. It’s still not strong, but it exists. I’d consider it an improvement at this point.

I was told it was within spec when I dropped off my model x at the service center. The app now shows the technician's note “found crack in bus bar air duct assembly. Needs replacing.” Let’s hope it fixes the issue!

I have some travel coming up. So, I haven’t let anyone touch the seat. I’ll start playing with it again in a month and see if it gets stuck again.

Has anyone else been able to get this fixed? My service advisor just said it’s normal and nothing they can do. Almost no air out of one side and 15% of normal out of the other in the third row.

Switched service centers and it wasn’t a problem. Not sure what the service advisor in Kennesaw was thinking.

Service said that the lack of airflow is normal and within spec. That is a bummer for a 100k+ car. I can live with it, but I will be asking for any updates on it every time I am at Tesla Service for something.

I have PPF in my headlights, but it is clear. I’ve seen some that are smoked. I’ve never seen yellow. It would unique!

It’s a known flaw. A new seat is just a temporary fix. I hope they come up with a solution soon.

Now that I’m used to the yoke. I wouldn’t go back.

Went in for service. They were able to get the seat moving again. They weren’t confident it would fix it permanently though. They ordered another seat as a backup but said that it is a known flaw and they are working on a fix. So, a new seat probably isn’t a permanent solution either.

I dropped off today. Very nice facility and the service advisor Jonathan is awesome! Looking forward to a great local facility.

That doesn’t make any sense and is super frustrating. I hope they are wrong, but I am having the same problem and have a service appointment setup.

I have a service center appointment for a major issue on a few month old model X. The 2nd row seats are stuck down and unresponsive. My service center is 1.5 hours away. So, I had been holding off on minor issues to have them remedied all at once. When I talked to the service center they said...

Just happened to me today. The day before a road trip. Bummer. Wish the manual levers would work. I can live with the electric option failing and needing service, but the manual levers should be the failsafe.

They did this for me too. No questions asked from the mobile service technician.

This worked for me. I filed a service request that the fobs weren’t included on delivery. The mobile service tech brought by two. No problem.

Yes, it definitely does. It does not include a key fob though… sadly

Ceramic coating just makes it easy wax free cleaning. Even a stealth finish looks better squeaky clean. It just doesn’t get shiny.

I think it could be a while. The model Y performance doesn’t have track mode either. Although, it would be a blast to have!

It may vary by SA like many things at Tesla. I would be wary as multiple SAs have told people they will be moved back in line with changes. There are tons of examples in the model X waiting room. It could also be worse than your experience because of the backlog on the X.

In any case, if it is a business vehicle, the depreciation is tax deductible over the life of the vehicle reducing your tax liability.

I’ve done it twice (Modesta - like ceramic but better - over Xpel stealth). It makes it super easy to clean and gives it a satin sheen. It doesn’t make the satin / matte glossy at all.

Unfortunately, any changes will put you back at the back of the line except adding and removing full self-driving. You could consider keeping your order and selling the wheels or having two sets for summer and winter. I know that's a bummer...

It does bug me that we've gone backward in range from the pre refresh models. It's still plenty of range and faster charging, but I still don't quite understand.

Could be. Seems like a strange move though with the weight reduction allowing room for more batteries. I wouldn’t expect new models to usually go down in range.

Did they? Car and driver reported "As configured, our test car's dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup houses a 103.9-kWh battery pack beneath its floor" in May on a model S. Why would they put a smaller one in the X? Maybe one of the first refresh X owners have a way to tell? Source - Tested: 2020...
