    Wheel Fitment

It will be rare to find an exact match, but they provide adapter rings. For example, hardware included for a set of wheels from Tire Rack: "1 Lug adapter , 4 19X9 5-114 ET40 FLOW ONE F3 , 20 Required lugnut for vehicle (nickel plated) , 4 Retaining clip for AL-P rings"

    Safety restraint system fault

I got same message for passenger safety restraint. The error persisted for that day, and I made an appointment for a few weeks out (it was first available). The mobile tech came out and did nothing, check connections, says he ordered a part for a future service but I have seen no traction on...

Getting ready for delivery, what should I buy ahead of time? :)

Nothing wrong with that, might want to get another J1772 adapter for when you are out and about and can leave the other one at home.

Getting ready for delivery, what should I buy ahead of time? :)

I recommend SSD just because then there's no question about how fast it writes contributing to the errors or corruption of data. The port to plug in the hard drive is below the phone tray, so all drives will be out of sight. You might want to get a USB splitter or hub if you intend to use...

Getting ready for delivery, what should I buy ahead of time? :)

Looks like you have a good list, I'd do the all-weather mats instead of carpet if you're expecting any mud or snow and only the wireless phone charger instead of the charging cable. The carpet mats do secure with hook and loop type pads, there are circles of the hooks and it secures to the...

    TeslaCam looks really bad

What kind of USB drive do you have? What write speeds does it support? Do you have the USB drive plugged into a multi-port hub? There are many reasons why there might be issues, but without the full picture we cannot provide adequate tech support. Sounds like you at least have the root TeslaCam...

    TeslaCam looks really bad

The cameras were not intended for dash cam use. The cameras are used for autopilot, the dash cam functionality is a "free" bonus. If you want a standalone Dash Cam with 1080p or 4K and clearer image, buy and install a your own. USB drive full typically shows up as a grey X on the camera, did...

Purchasing A Model 3 Performance From Inventory? Good Idea?

Performance actually comes with 20" wheels, lowered suspension (about 1 cm), two piece brake rotors and red calipers, metal accelerator/brake pedals, and spoiler. The 0-60 time is about a second faster, but everything else is going to be the same. If you feel the above options are worth $6k...

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

You can get a RWD "off menu" by calling or visiting a showroom. Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

You won't be able to find many 18" wheels that fit due to the hub lip issue already mentioned and the larger brake caliper housing compared to the non-performance models. They exist, but the two issues combine to severely limit your options.

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

The Performance model is barely any lower to the ground (maybe 1cm). The most common damage I hear about in the forums is from potholes to the 20" wheels that come on the Performance model. The tire sidewalls are a bit skinnier so they can't absorb the same amount of pothole compared to the 18"...

FSD must go to Tesla service center to activate? No other way?

FSD requires a new computer unless your car already has it (manufactured in April 2019 or later). Roof Rack In Stock

I have this box: WB700 Aero Compact Cargo Carrier and I planned on using it on my Model S before I traded that in for the Model 3. On the Audi, I went from approx 28mpg to 24mpg freeway (70-80mph) with the box on, so it will still make a dent on your efficiency but the aerodynamic shape...

    Not missing this

That gas station is always overpriced relative to others in the area. They presumably prey on the fact that they're the only one within a two mile radius and at the bottom of a decent hill so you're not going to make it if you're running on fumes.

Performance Model 3 with 21" or 22" wheels?

It's not just a hit on the range and ride quality, there are potential fitment issues with the suspension components if the inner part of the wheel rim extends too far inside due to offset changes. Play around with the numbers of standard/your current Vossen Wheels and what you'd like to go to...

Rated range will be shown as percent multiplied by your average consumption. The i1Tesla vehicle is a LR RWD, AWD vehicles are more power hungry, and will generally have a lower range for the same battery capacity.

Easy conversion of whms to kWh?

Keep in mind the Wh/mi number in the vehicle is only while the car is in motion, does not include vampire drain. The actual "wall to wheels" number of energy consumption may be a bit higher than what is shown on your vehicle's lifetime statistic.

Stock tires wearing faster than expected?

Spirited driving will definitely wear tires faster. Rear wheel drive will also wear tires unevenly (front/back) because all the torque is being applied to one set of wheels for both acceleration and regeneration. I went through a set of tires after 6000 miles on the Model S P85+... but I also...

When will the Dual Motor badges arrive??

Yeah, guy delivering my car said November, it's November now and they are quoting January. I assume they have bigger fish to fry like getting as many cars delivered that they can before the full tax credit expires, but it would be nice to know it's not always 2 months out.

Front camera usb showing an x symbol
