Anyone else notice that the app waking up the car is suddenly a lot slower? It used to take 10 - 15 seconds now it's sometimes upwards of a minute.

I had the same issue. Shot my delivery person a note asking them to open it up. It opened within 5 hours from sending the email. Knowing how swamped they are, emailing (when they know you'll call if they don't respond) might be the best overall. Of course, if they don't respond, call.

I really don't think Tesla will be doing this once the "bubble" is over. If they do, I agree 100% that it will be a huge detractor in the market. I think most of us are only waiting because it's the only of its kind out there.

This is also my sobering realization... Was hoping for a September delivery because I ordered so quickly. I think we are in Tesla's awkward, teenage years. Beyond the pimples, it'll mature into a strong, intelligent, smooth operation... "it's just a phase".

I'm convinced that this is how people get ED. A little announcement on Twitter ahead of time would have been nice...

WCorey's evil plan: Call the Tesla delivery line so often that they deliver your Model 3 just to reduce call volume. Shrewd, my friend... very shrewd! :)

100% agree. I heard someone here say that call centers are generally not held accountable for what they say, only for complaint and satisfaction scores.... so, they'll say whatever will get you off the phone and feeling satisfied for the moment. Saying, "I don't know, they don't tell me" runs...

Yea. From other's stories, I believe that when your car is at the dealership and formally assigned to you for delivery, you should start to see it in the app as the owner. You can see when the doors/frunk/trunk are open, charge...etc. Try not to honk... like... too much! :)

Yea, the yellow dots are what happens when your delivery specialists starts the process on their end. It means you can start filling in some of those otherwise blocked items. Some people see the change on the website first, some get a call first and some get an email first. The great thing...

I'd say 50/50 chances. It depends on your color choice and where you live a great deal; and nobody can accurately predict where it will land. Oct is incredibly unlikely, but maybe between Thanksgiving and New Years Eve!

I do wish I had a better grip on the number of AWD orders placed by early reservation holders. I reserved in Feb of this year, but configured on 06/27. The earnings call said that 50% of the orders were AWD; but I can't really get better than a 3 month window for timing without a more accurate...

Really? That seems like a pretty bad idea. Why would they? Wouldn't that open the door for a lot of mistakes (putting badges on non-dual motor cars)?

They ask for that when your delivery time has been set. Taking pictures too far in advance of a trade-in wouldn't be valid because things could change.
