    Colorado Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

No idea how you have avoided a line at Grand Junction across that many visits. It's by far my most hated supercharger. I've had to wait 45 minutes there and have had to wait 20+ multiple times. Even worse, because it's an old 120 kW charger, once you finally get a charger, it's slow as *sugar*...

    2018 Model X (w/ MCU2) suspension/axle/wheel noises after repair

Based on my description, the Service Center has it scheduled for Brake Caliper Cleaning, but I don't think that's the issue. But, dont really know.
  3. B

Supercharger - Gypsum, CO - Public and Service Center Supercharger locations

The superchargers are for Hertz exclusively. The service center is still not open. Word is they are struggling to staff positions. It was suppose to open in August.

    2018 Model X (w/ MCU2) suspension/axle/wheel noises after repair

My 2018 Model X (late year model with MCU2) had significant suspension work done in May 2023 by Tesla under the extended warranty I had in place. As part of those repairs they did the following: - Links - Front Suspension - Lower - Aft - LH/RH (Remove and Replace) - Links - Fore - Lower - Front...

Model X price cuts- yet again

This is true but the car itself is simply overpriced and increasingly falling behind on common technology and safety/convenience features present in cars that sell for half it's price, never mind $100K with 5.5%+ interest rates on auto loans. It doesn't even have rear cross radar when backing...

Model X price cuts- yet again

You're crazy if this persuaded you to purchase. I've had my 2018 Model X 100D with free unlimited supercharging for nearly 5 years now and supercharge all the time and take many long road trips (2-4K miles round trip several times a year). Teslafi says I have supercharged 324 times and...

New Kuat Piston Pro bike rack

Will the hatch open with the bikes loaded? Or do you have to tilt the rack?

    Snippiness 2.0

Only alto owners think their trailers are made better than airstreams. Alto owners are some of the most arrogant and least informed I have ever come across.

    Supercharger - Silverthorne, CO

All 12 were showing as active last week too but only 10 were. Could be complete now though. weird it says up to 250 kw. Definitely not the case last week. It was V2
  10. B

    Supercharger - Silverthorne, CO

The two chargers on the right were live this past weekend. I used them on Saturday and Sunday. The two on the left were presumably not working yet as they still were blocked off. The chargers are only V2, not sure if that was already mentioned or not.
  11. B

    Supercharger - Silverthorne, CO

Uhg. That sucks. That’s where I drop my trailer to go charge.
  12. B

    Supercharger - Brighton, CO

I believe this one is now repaired and fully live.
  13. B

Supercharger - Mountain Village, CO - Mountain Village Blvd

Doubt Telluride will happen. Durango seems very likely as its at a crossroads.
  14. B

    Supercharger — Montrose, CO

Durango really is a must and makes the most sense. As does Pagosa Springs or Alamosa. And Walsenburg. Ridgeway makes more sense than Telluride at this point but is close to Montrose. Also need some attention in the Northwest..... something in Craig.
  15. B

    Supercharger - Conifer, CO

Damn. I didn’t even know that. Aspen park has been a very welcome addition although I wish it was actually Fairplay.
  16. B

    Supercharger - Park City, UT

You reference it, but seem to think you know better than it. But deny when it contradicts you. edit/ you must be a California transplant.
  17. B

    Supercharger - Park City, UT

seems like you should create your own website to share your wisdom on chargers.
  18. B

    Supercharger - Park City, UT

ski season is the majority of the time I have used them. Every winter... during Sundance. And I sure as hell have never stayed at the Montage. You are extremely arrogant.
  19. B

    Supercharger - Park City, UT

Very different. Silver Mountain Sports on PlugShare states to talk to front desk first. Sorry you are unable to admit you were wrong. But not surprising based on your response and attempt to go out of your way to tell me I was wrong. (I wasn't).
  20. B

    Supercharger - Cheyenne, WY

Your net loss going up Pike's peak was only 11 miles?
  21. B

    Supercharger - Poncha Springs, CO

I am assuming Tesla receives pretty extensive real time stats and diagnostics on all superchargers so they have to be aware of the issues at this charger.... considering they have been present for at least 4 months.
  22. B

    Supercharger - Park City, UT

Wrong. Plugshare shows the Montage as for "Guests only" Nice try to flex though. Just trying to help.
  23. B

    Supercharger - Park City, UT

So, I guess this is a secret. But, go to the Montage Deer Valley. Valet parking is completely free there and they have 72 AMP Tesla chargers. Spend a few hours hiking or hanging at the hotel (free smores at 5PM), fun little bowling alley in the basement, good whiskey bar, overpriced sushi...

    Supercharger - Conifer, CO

I suspected that might be the case but trying to route to the supercharger presented a chargers closed warning. With my camping trailer in tow I can’t really risk it, especially on 285. The only other charger nearby that I know of is at Staunton stake park (L2 charge point). 34 degrees and...

    Supercharger - Conifer, CO

Thank you so much! Very windy today and if that was out of operation I’d be screwed
  26. B

    Supercharger - Conifer, CO

Says reduced service again. I’m about to head through there with a trailer. Anyone able to confirm that it’s working?
  27. B

    Supercharger - Poncha Springs, CO

I may be crazy but I swear the street lights dim every time this charger fluctuates charging rate.
  28. B

    Supercharger - Poncha Springs, CO

This charger is a mess. There are cones in front of 2A and 2B... assuming those are not working. 3a/b and 4a/b are still doing the charging fluctuation and won’t charge beyond 64 kW and it constantly bounces back and forth between 42 and 64. Only 1a and 1b seem to be working close to normal...

    Supercharger - Conifer, CO

Anyone know why this is showing as reduced service in Tesla navigation now?
  30. B

    Supercharger - Poncha Springs, CO

Doesn’t seem like this charger is capable of over 94 kWH anymore. Had anyone seen a higher charge rate here recently?
  31. B

    Supercharger - Poncha Springs, CO

Sorry I missed this. I have been back four times since. Not able to get over 94 kWh on any of the charges and it had an aggressive taper. how was your experience?
  32. B

    Supercharger - Conifer, CO

Any updates? I passed by Sunday and didn’t see any changes.
  33. B

    Supercharger - Glenwood Springs, CO

I don’t know if that’s the reason. More so that it’s basically the only charger in southern Colorado
  34. B

    Supercharger - Beaver, UT

My experience too. As well as most chargers locations in Idaho and Wyoming
  35. B

    Supercharger gaps

Why is it so difficult to get a destination charger or two along routes like this? I thought Tesla covered the install cost. Seems like a no brainer for a small town hotel or even a gas station to attract people with decent income levels In general to stop for an hour or two or longer. I...

    ISO: TT-30 Adapter in Denver

sdoorex, No worries. It's confusing. TechNeutral, thanks, I saw that. But couldn't have it delivered in time.
  37. B

    Supercharger - Conifer, CO

Thanks for the update. Figured that was the case but thought I might get lucky :-)
  38. B

    ISO: TT-30 Adapter in Denver

This is what I found that scared me off of that adapter route: An "RV 30a plug to 50a adapter" takes the 120v/30a from an NMEA TT-30R outlet and connects that to BOTH legs of what looks like an NMEA 14-50R outlet. That provides 120v from each leg to neutral, but ZERO volts between the two hot...

    ISO: TT-30 Adapter in Denver

thanks, I thought i could use that too (being careful to lower the amperage) but then i read that it actually doesn’t work, because it needs to be re-wired to work with the Tesla mobile connector the the Tesla 14-50 plug.

    Car insurance recommendation? Denver area

Progressive. It wasn’t even close. Also tried USAA (insanely high) and State Farm who i had been with and still am for my car and house in Oregon. My Denver house and car are now with progressive.
  41. B

    Supercharger - Conifer, CO

Any updates? I’m towing my trailer to salida again this weekend (did the same last weekend). It would be sweet if this was open but suspect it will be a while longer
  42. B

    Supercharger - Poncha Springs, CO

I am heading back this weekend so I will see if it’s any different. I did email Tesla about it but no response (not surprised).
  43. B

    ISO: TT-30 Adapter in Denver

Anyone in or near Denver have a TT-30 adapter i could borrow for the weekend? I was only able to get a 30 amp spot for this weekend’s camping trip.
  44. B

Supercharger - Denver, CO - University Hills

Definitely a strange choice. Any supercharger developments are encouraging but Im still disappointed they are not expanding the network to make some road trips easier and instead prioritizing chargers seemingly for those who are not charging at home. Both are necessary for long term success...
  45. B

    Supercharger - Poncha Springs, CO

I thought I already provided that and was clear by the break down by charger that I tried every one. I was there several times. With other users, and without. I tried every single charger with no one there and I also charged several times with users occupying other matched pairs. I was...

    Supercharger - Poncha Springs, CO

Well, it's the only way to access half the state. It may be a less populated half, but basically everything has to route through there. I used it multiple times this weekend. Every stall seems to be having issues. Charger 1A, 2A and 2B will not exceed 97 kW no matter what. And all the...

Power Limited - Please Schedule Service - Potentially Trailer Mode Related?

Sorry, I think that part of my post was confusing. The trailer is not causing a voltage drop.... the 12.0-12.9V range was included just to cover the typical range of my trailer battery depending on its state of charge. At the time of our testing my trailer battery was at 12.75V. In our...

Power Limited - Please Schedule Service - Potentially Trailer Mode Related?

Took it for a test drive with the trailer. No issues. It doesn’t charge the trailer anymore but I’m ok with that if it means it’s not causing problems to the car. But my trailer mode icon is stuck on even without the trailer now.

Power Limited - Please Schedule Service - Potentially Trailer Mode Related?

So, a really great mobile technician just spent the last 2.5 hours with me troubleshooting and testing the trailer and the car in my garage. I've learned a lot, but unfortunately I'm still not an electrical engineer so understand things just enough to be dangerous. I had the Tesla Littleton...

Power Limited - Please Schedule Service - Potentially Trailer Mode Related?

Interesting. Kind of relieved to hear someone else is experiencing similar issues. My experience has also been sporadic like yours. Tesla said that they think my trailer 12V system is "back feeding" the Tesla. And this is causing the error messages. I picked the car up today and they...
