It's not "educating one whether to buy into TSLA" if they're a closed-minded bear who has already made up their mind. You can't reason with or "educate" some people, when their purpose is simply to rile people up and spread vitriol.

Indeed. Some people (such as Elon) are able to think critically and reassess decisions over time as new "data" is available. Other people, such as certain posters here, lack such critical thinking skills.

It may have been an easier statement to make in 2021, but 6 years ago TSLA was ~$20 so I think it's still a fair statement to make today.

What makes you think laying off 3,000 workers Tesla deems unnecessary would have a negative impact on the ramp? You don't improve efficiency and production at a company like Tesla by hiring more workers or keeping workers on who you don't need to move things along.

Might not be news to anyone here, but this video is a testament to just how long Teslas and their batteries can last. Very heavily used Model S, charged several times per day on Superchargers (to 100%) and it has travelled hundreds of thousands of KM.

JIBYC got them mixed up there, they're trying to make the performance model figures look as low as possible hence the inclusion of rollout there.

The car is not quite stationary when the 0-60mph time is measured. It's allowed to "roll" (move) 1ft first. The performance models have 0-60mph quoted WITH rollout and other models without.

No, I don't believe the "free speech" excuse applies in this case. This is a moderated space which serves a specific purpose - to discuss Tesla and TSLA, as investors or those interested in investing in TSLA. There are clear rules against what can and can't be posted here, thankfully.

Yeah, but that didn't apply in this case. It was crystal clear the guy had no interest in investing in Tesla. Their only purpose here was to berate, troll and annoy. They were not a useful asset to this thread or forum. Thankfully we have been (temporarily?) relieved of their presence.

The Model Y is also much cheaper to lease than the new Model 3, so those looking to drive a new Tesla can be drawn to that instead.

Not sure about V4s as I haven't used any. But for V2s and V3s you just push the button on the charger and remove the cable. Same as you'd do at home. The car needs to be unlocked to remove the connector.

But they aren't ready to produce the cheaper model, are they? What is the advantage to them announcing it many months before the start of production? I know there are people who would hold off on purchasing the Model 3 and Y (a stretch for them) if they thought the compact model was on the way...

Elon is pro-human. In his mind sustainable energy usage is important to the continuation of humanity and there are ways we can live harmoneously with the planet. Without promoting the lack of continuation of the human race. I don't see how this is so difficult to understand.

You might be missing that it's a newer, smaller and more efficient vehicle that's more fun to drive. Both have their own appeal.
