Discussion: Powershare [V2X feature currently announced for Cybertruck]

I'm having Tesla PowerWalls installed next week. Anything the technicians can/should do to make future Cybertruck PowerShare installation easier? And how do I go about asking this question of Tesla? The installer tried contacting them but Tesla didn't respond. I sent a Service Request through...

All US Cars capable of FSD will be enabled for one month trial this week

"The f'ers got me. Despite my 2019 having the "full self driving computer" it's not actually FSD capable. I read in another thread that Tesla meant to say that it's actually just for cars with the selfie camera. Nice trick to get me off the pre-nag-ridden 44.1 I'd been holding onto since...

Campground Camping, Sleeping in MY Supply List

Funny how there are so many guys who can't get their wives to car camp with them. My partner doesn't want to go with me because he has to get up 4-6x a night to pee... Last summer, we had numerous power outages at home and twice I slept in my Model X in the garage with the A/C on and was really...

What new Supercharger site do you want the most? Supercharger voting 1Q2024

That's not Tesla Supercharger network though. For us free supercharger for life folks, we want to see Tesla SC.

What new Supercharger site do you want the most? Supercharger voting 1Q2024

My pet peeve is the lack of any Superchargers south of I-10 in Arizona. There are some pretty good-sized towns there that could use one: Sierra Vista/Hereford is top on my list, then Green Valley and Nogales, AZ.

Supercharger - Tucson, AZ (Broadway Blvd)

This is great! Now when are they going to put some in south of I-10 in AZ? We need Superchargers in Green Valley, Nogales, and Sierra Vista/Hereford at the least!

    500 mile range? LOL

Tesla being truthful? I doubt it: I noticed yesterday their deception on the webpage: at the top of the CT page, they are mixing and matching 2 models, making it sound like these features are in one model, when they are actually from two. 340 range + 2.6 sec 0-60. 340 range is for the AWD, 2.6...

    500 mile range? LOL

An extra battery pack when you are towing would help, but how much does it weigh? I doubt 2 small people (me and my partner) would be able to put it in and out as needed.

Usually fee for a Level 2 charger?

Thanks everybody, for your input. The place that is charging 0.60 kWh is a branch of the American Museum of Natural History. Interestingly, we stayed in one of their rooms way back in 2017 and had asked about charging the car while there. The maintenance guy got information from us as to what we...

Usually fee for a Level 2 charger?

I have only charger via Superchargers (free for my 2018 Model X) or at home. So I am ignorant of what would be considered a reasonable fee to use a Level 2 charger NEMA 14/50. It looks like some have a flat fee and others charge by the kWh. I was recently looking at an off the beaten path Level...

What camper will you tow with your CT

I bought a Bowlus Road Chief to tow with my Cybertruck. Might have been a bit premature, I had no idea I was going to be waiting so long for that truck, but I did want to get it before a price increase on what is already a very expensive trailer. Yes I can tow it with my MX but it will be easier...

T Sportline TS1 spare wheel and tire kit: opinions?

I am getting new tires and thought about keeping the best of the old and buying a wheel from T Sportline and using as a full sized spare. However I do not think it will fit in the under space of my 2018 MX and I don't want to have to store it on the back top, premium space, while traveling. I...

No I haven't. Have not even been there with my Tesla yet, charging seems to be a bit of an issue.

    Wind noise from front windows

Noises can be hard to pin down. I had a loud whistling noise at high speed. It sounded like it was coming from the passenger side, behind the front seat. Tesla Service spend a lot of time trying to pin down where the noise was coming from. Fortunately it was under warranty. Turned out it was a...

    Ac issue

I have a 2018 MX P100D and am in Arizona. I have driven plenty of times in extreme heat with no issues, what that SC told you is BS and totally unacceptable IMO. From 2 experiences, I have found I cannot make multiple supercharger stops when it is hot out and sit in the car with the A/C running...

    2018 A/C problem

Thank you, I had just found that thread when you posted. Not sure if anything there is applicable to my situation. I would think if it needs freon or the compressor went out, it would not work the next morning like it did. I haven't driven it yet since we got home all hot and sweaty. I'm still...

    2018 A/C problem

I got the dreaded 'A/C is being reduced' message again yesterday. This seems to be a recurring issue with my car (5-seater P100D). Went for a drive yesterday, 75 miles. Charged at Supercharger 31 minutes, drove 35 miles with one short stop; supercharged again for 8 minutes before returning home...

Anybody install an Ohmmu battery in their X? Looking for feedback.

I can only find threads on S and 3 for Ohmmu battery. I have the OEM battery in my MX, it is 3 years 4 months and still going but planning an extended camping trip soon which will include have a Dometic refrigerator plugged in the 12V. OEM battery is still under warranty but Tesla won't replace...

My Top Tesla Accessories - What are yours?

Hmmm, hard to tell from those photos but pretty sure my car came with this. It's the space underneath that is the problem because it is continuous with the back trunk space that is below it, and nothing to keep items from sliding back and down with both covers in place.
  20. Marcia L

My Top Tesla Accessories - What are yours?

Suggestions for the back hidden space under the rear cover and in front of the back trunk? I have 5-seater 2018 MX and anytime I put anything under there, it inevitably slides to the back and drops down into the trunk. I don't want an organizer, I just want a bar or something to keep stuff from...

Which is better? More range or free Supercharging?

I would go with range. It's a PITA to unhook the trailer to charge IMO. Longer range, maybe you can skip some SCs. I'm in the same situation, my MX has free supercharging. I have a Cybertruck on order and plan to use it as tow vehicle instead. It is more capable, has more room, won't be...

Power Limited - Please Schedule Service - Potentially Trailer Mode Related?

I had another wire run from the battery to pin 1 on the 7-pin like Tesla service recommended. Just picked up the car from the shop this morning but haven't had time to test it. Hopefully that will solve the issue. They think it will.

Power Limited - Please Schedule Service - Potentially Trailer Mode Related?

I know this thread is old but I just found out about it because my Tesla service tech printed it out for me. We had this problem recently and it was an awful experience. Because we were in Texas, on a 2+ week trip from Arizona. I have a 2018 MX P100D, bought in March 2018, towing a Bowlus Road...

    A/C problem while Supercharging: again!

Is there any way to modify or beef up the cooling capacity of the 5-seater Model X? I just had this happen to me again on August 1: while supercharging, I got a yellow warning message that said cabin air conditioning was being reduced. Which really means no A/C in the cabin. I stopped...

Thank you for this thread. Interesting things to consider. I have a MX and frequently go off on dirt roads, forest roads. I live in southern Arizona and no Superchargers south of I-10. I worry more about flat tires. How many of you carry a spare and the necessary equipment to change a flat? My...

    Supercharger - Bakersfield, CA (I-5 / Stockdale Hwy, 10 V2 stalls)

Good to know! I just posted on the Buttonwillow SC thread asking which of these two would be better when pulling a trailer! Now I know and while ours is longer than yours, @ecarfan, if there is plenty of room there we should be able to do what you did.

Mine is not working, just tried it today after download last night. Messed up the old commands too, like "Navigate to..." I would say "Navigate to such-and-such supercharger" and it would type "Supercharged" over and over, would not get it right.

Actually they were revealed: Length: 231.7" (19.3') Width: 79.8" (6.65') Height: 75.8" (6.32') In comparison, my Model X: Length: 16.5' Width: 81.6" (with mirrors folded) Height: 66" "The key missing stats from the reveal are the exterior dimensions, and they have to be gargantuan."

@ohmman, I don't have a trailer yet but I ordered the Tri-motor right away. As you may remember, I've got my eye on the Bowlus Endless Highways. Now the big decision is, go ahead and get the trailer now or within the next year and struggle with range on my MX, plus having to swap out wheels, or...

Ordered Tri-motor right after the event ended. Took a while to get on Tesla's site, so I expect it was busy. Been waiting for a Tesla truck, just wish more waiting wasn't going to be 3 years.

So many negative comments. Not sure it deserves them all. I ordered one, what the heck. It's 3 years away, small deposit, and who knows what will happen in 3 years. @idoco thank you for your reply. I have read all your blog! Helena mentioned you when showing us the trailers. We love boondocking and have done a lot of it. Bowlus Trailer: is towing the larger model feasible?

@ohmman tell me again what you are towing? I haven't had range anxiety with my MX but I'm afraid it would set in big time with towing. I've read everything I can find on posts or blogs from MX towing but sure I've missed some. Things that I really like on the Endless Highways model over the...

Bowlus Trailer: is towing the larger model feasible?

Camping Trailer Selection for Model X

Is anybody towing the larger Endless Highways model of the Bowlus? We looked at the Bowlus last week and it's so much more impressive in person. Autopilot problem after v10.0 update

Oh dear, that is not good! I don't use auto lane change, so haven't run anybody off the road. I have it set to my having to approve lane change. But a car jiggling around in a lane is not comfortable and is asking to be pulled over by police.

What's the most surprising thing you've found once you got your Tesla?

Traffic aware cruise control for sure was the most surprising thing that continues to delight me. My partner had his Model S for about a year before I got my Model X and his did not have that since he didn't order AP. I had no idea. On a less day to day use, I was surprised by a safety feature I...
