185 Teslas flooded last week in Miami and the battery replacement is $20,000!! Help please

I have a model X 90D 2016 and due to heavy rains in South Florida last week it displayed error messages such as: "service required car may not start", HV battery error, etc. I went straight to Telsa and after two weeks and 185 cars flooded they gave me an estimate of $20,000 to replace the HV battery. What should i do? Ask my insurance to send an adjuster? Go to an EV shop to try to fix it for cheaper? Leave it and buy a model Y? Telsa says water entered the battery casing and that's not under warranty. What should I do? Please help

i fixed my HV that got water inside, its straight forward but tedious fix, just need to dry it

Most car insurance covers flood damage under comprehensive. Do you carry that? It is optional if the car is paid off. Just curious. How high did the water get on the car for it to enter the battery compartment?

Insurance may just total it. Best bet may be to find a third party shop who can fix your battery. Good luck OP
