2013 Parking Sensor Connector

I pulled the rear bumper over the weekend to install my Ecohitch and came across a connector that had nothing attached to it?

Do anyone know if this connector is for the parking sensors? My car does not have this option but it is something I would consider adding if all i need to do is drill holes, add sensors and have the service dept add it in the programming.

Has anyone done this? Or any other explanation for what this connector is for?

Yep, that's the connector for the rear wiring harness for parking sensors. Just connected up to it the other week for mine.

Thanks for confirming...I am curious, did you already have sensors, or did you add them?

Wow that is pretty interesting! I also have a 2013 w/o the PS feature. Out of curiosity what is your build number? Mine is VIN: 11101

Looks like the parking sensor harness is ~$200 on ebay and the prices for the sensors seem to range. Looked like "Tesla" stamped sensors were $99 a piece and some OEM sensors were $75 for a four pack. They would need some paint to match the bumper.

Any additional info on what equipment you guys used or where it was purchased from?

Oh wow. I thought only the later 2013 had them. Yours @BobbyMartin sounds like a early 2013 build. I was disappointed to find out the Tesla I’m getting won’t be able to have the sensors. I’m picking up my 7xxx 2013 this weekend. I’ll have to check for the plugs right away!
