Anybody know what they started the morning with for availability?

I'm thinking this dip right now from the 247-248 open is mostly new shorting activity.

I saw it around 16000 at 9am. Then went to 90k, before down to 80k. Pretty benign.

Put a stop-loss at $244 and let it ride. This kind of action is exactly why stop-losses are preferable over selling at a specific price.

The day trader in me wants to sell 248 and buy 245.

I don't think heavy shorting activity is a risk today, longs taking profit maybe a concern. I wonder if there will be a test of 250 and down from there...

That said, the cautious side of me says that we did have a couple days where we broke the bottom of that channel a little bit. I don't think I'm quite ready to call the channel broken just yet.

Channel has definitely been broken several times before. Needs to punch through with more conviction. Not a bad trend to stay in either.

That bear case is based off of a presumption that Model S/X don't sell more than 70k units by 2020. We sold more than that in 2016, with little sign of growth slowing.

I'm thinking this will settle down to 245-249 range... which means it should go up off the 245 we just hit? I'm just watching....

Looking at the book it looks like there are a lot of buyers at 245-6ish levels.

EDIT: volume back to normal. Also switched off? Stock climbing back up.
