If it is a 2018 Model S it does not have key cards. Only Fob.

S and X don't have key card technology until Palladium generation starting 2021.

Tesla won't retrofit that technology to older S and X. You have to buy their whole new car.

Should have come with 2 fobs. Only way to get a new one (or disable a lost one) is through Tesla.

What if we buy the PILLAR APPLIQUE which comes with NFC reader and compatible with 2018 model ((For vehicles manufactured on or after approximately August 21st, 2017. Must verify Vehicle Option Codes: APH3.))?
