Right there with you, but have a feeling we will be waiting a long time. Did your install nag go away recently as well? I just have the little yellow download icon now, but no longer the pop-up.I’m still on ‘2020.48.12.1’ have they fixed the map / visualization split yet?
I am going to keep holding out, could care less about visualizations, the map however is very useful.

Haha snap! I was excited about a Christmas update until I saw it had nothing in it apart from some new visualisations. Have been holding out since then for something more meaningful and for them to fix the instrument cluster to make the icons a better size again.I’m still on ‘2020.48.12.1’ have they fixed the map / visualization split yet?
I find it pops up the download icon for a couple of weeks, then gets bored and downloads over LTE (I don't have WiFi in range of where I park so previously downloaded via mobile hotspot), nags for a couple of weeks and then a new version comes out and it starts all over againRight there with you, but have a feeling we will be waiting a long time. Ahhh, Thanks for the info. I'm pretty disconnected when it comes to twitter. Is it worth getting one just to hear about updates, or is it really more for entertainment than information?Elon mentioned in a Tweet that those who want to join the FSD Beta (like you’ve seen on YouTube) testing will be able to download the Beta via a “button” on the screen. This is because he’s a doofus and just tweets things and the customer service side of the house didn’t know ahead of time and they got SLAMMED by requests of how to join the Beta.
So, there’s going to be an update release and it’ll have a button you press and you will be able to then download the FSD Beta and let the car do city streets driving on its own.
No problem. I rarely use Twitter, it's so annoying and also super fast moving. Honestly it's not worth signing up for Twitter if you haven't already. Elon will use it as a soapbox to speak to the masses or just say random crap... The thing is sometimes that random crap turns into actual product/an update/etc. If you're on the forum here then I think you'll be good enough.Ahhh, Thanks for the info. Good question. There were reports of erratic regen braking (I had this, but went away). Maybe allowing faster charging when the battery temps are colder. Who knows really. Maybe a heated steering wheelWhat are these cold weather improvements?
This update seems to be picking up pace - TeslaFi shows 400+ cars receiving this version now (and growing) - up from 20 when my car got it earlier.Receiving 2021.4.12 now, so it seems there is another small push of this update underway. Previously on 2021.4.11.
A doofus? Really?Elon mentioned in a Tweet that those who want to join the FSD Beta (like you’ve seen on YouTube) testing will be able to download the Beta via a “button” on the screen. Yes. He's one of the smartest, most accomplished people on earth in most regards. But he is a complete doofus in what he has said about FSD over the years. Not the technical challenges, but the way he has misled early FSD purchasers.A doofus? Really?
Um, am I wrong? Maybe I am since I own two of his company's cars but if there was something that could compete with them (honestly right now there's not) then I'd own that. C'mon Rivian!A doofus? Really?
Downloaded on my MX today. Dont see any significant functional changesI was surprised to see 2021.4.12 downloaded to my M3P this morning, since I didn’t see it on the sites I usually track (Teslafi, teslascope, notateslaapp, etc.) and it’s been a long time - as in, years - since I was the first to get any new update (I usually get them a few days after first discovery).
So if you’re subscribed to Teslafi updates and received an email stating “Software version 2021.4.12 was just detected on a Model 3 Performance in California”, that’s me!
Anyway, the only thing besides the typical bug fixes are “cold weather improvements”, whatever that is. No sight of any “Download FSD Beta” button, sadly.

Here is a report of the similar 2021.4.11 update and regen from a guy who used SMT. If cell min temp is above -1.5C you now get regen. It's short term as driving down long hills will restrict regen if battery is cold. As for charging it seems battery must be closer to 5C to be able to charge, but short bursts if regen is allowed at about 5C lower temps than pre 4.11. You also get higher regen at higher soc. I tested with 4.11 and at 93% soc max charge is 8kW (on a 12kW charger), but I had about 25kW regen (1/3). After 36 hours at 0C and 40% soc and no charging/preheat I had about 25kW regen. From the attached curve I guess min celltemp was 2C. I drove 50meters to a SC and got 0.5kW charging for 5mins, then it started to climb so it seems you need about 5C for SC.What changes with regen in cold temps? Does anyone who has an app like Scan My Tesla have the update to report on changes in regen braking levels in colder temps? Right now we've found that below about 70° regen starts dropping significantly. With a battery temp of 68° or below approximately regen drops to around only 35 kW or less. Regen dashes on our Model S appear once the regen drops below 35 kW I believe.
