I love them. That said, they are for sale. We are moving onto our sailboat and taking a few+ years off. Selling house, car, everything.

Or not. Counterpoint, I agree with Musk on most of his statements, all while understanding the human nature of humans. At a minimum, I prefer human vs "suits" to pander to wall street. Musk or Marry (who is a real leader BTW) ... I'll take Musk every day of the week. Will be adding many more...

Tesla recalls 2 million vehicles to limit use of Autopilot

YMMV - but my FSDb trial last month seems to have the same level of nags. On Autopilot now (sub ended - waste of money!), the nag happens the second my eyes look at the screen. However, I can (and do) block the camera and everything still works (and can look at the screen for a couple seconds -...

Bingo - competition is good when you leverage your superiority to bankrupt the competition. It's happening in the auto space. It happened in the space space, bozo can have crumbs.

I also gathered from the video, the Model 2 will be single piece cast, no paint (and 48v). Add in steer by wire for left/right drive at a minimal cost overhead...WOW Also of note the stainless bending and self calibrating process when a new roll (or batch) of metal is used (each batch can have...

Further the F350 and range….(we also tow light trailers with our Model 3). You lose range towing (regardless of fuel) - but stop and go is surprisingly efficient with an EV. Think of the added energy needed to launch for fun, except slow (towing) and then you get increased regeneration due to...

Not really. As a reformed F350 diesel owner, who had a large boat (12k+) and a 4700lb camper in the bad (never at the same time). The pull test shows real world power where you need it. And how much better it is. Pulling the boat up a ramp, or driving up a mountain with the camper into 30 mph...

    Model 3 front suspension clunking

Sad to say, the top hat$ from KW did not solve my clunk. I do have what seems like loose half shafts or excess gear lash…can someone confirm you have a similar sound with one wheel in the air… That sound is similar to what I hear over small bumps and slower / slow speeds.

FSD Owners - Do any of you prefer leaving it off?

I subscribed, since I'm all in on $TSLA stock - I had to see. I'm very disappointed - overall. It's great on the interstate steady state driving, but the incessant nags (vs autopilot) almost negates the lane changing hassle with autopilot. Back roads in my area, completely useless and extremely...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

This argument, oft repeated, while good for $TSLA's mission is not really relevant (IMO). The late starting competition has to 'catch' a moving target. That target (Tesla) has repeatedly demonstrated the ability to move faster than any competition. That start-up mentality is (IMO) directly...

Need 13,000 kWh annually; does that mean I should get 8.39 kW in panels?

Like many things "it depends" - We have an 8.88 kw (dc) system that will output AC at 7.3 kw (inverter limited). In New England we did 12,200 KW last year. On an annual basis, our monthly average is just over 1000kwh. Our state has 100% net metering, but at the end of the month any surplus KWH...

Having not tried FSD since the days of 'lane ping pong' (years ago) - we just subscribed for the Beta. I want my money back for the FSD subscription (2022 Model 3LR). Just started an FSD bata trial. Wow - it's pretty good (last used it 4ish years ago) And WOW , makes you realize autopilot is, and seriously needs a refresh. Embarrassingly bad compared to FSD and lane keeping/changing.

    FSD discussion

As much as I subscribe to the University of All Things Musk, I can't listen to any FSD promises without rethinking my subscription to the University.
